DUST IN THE HALL OF GAMES

B CLOVER

Grumpy loner Will collapses and wakes up in the strangest of prisons, forced to play a deadly game he doesn’t understand.

Will thinks life can’t get any worse. Then he blacks out… and wakes up a piece in a board game in the Hall of Games. Here people play for the highest stakes under the eyes of the Arbiter. There will be three Sessions. At the end of the First Game a voice says, I know what you are. Dern, also trapped, explains that they are being used as spies. “We’re a long way from home. I don’t know if we’re ever going back.” During the Second Game a piece is moved illegally over night. The Arbiter has it destroyed. It screams. Then Will faces the same fate but the Game ends violently and no one notices he has moved. The last Game is the most deadly. Two warring nations have come to make peace. But their ambassadors don’t want it and try to sabotage the Game. Will hears their plot. He is desperate to help the Arbiter, but that night he finds himself being pushed out into danger again. What can he do? Will he ever get back? And if he does, can he possibly help his sister? Because she has vanished too…
