Forgive Me; I'm Not Perfect

Linda Randall

Sadie Johnson’s comical mishaps start when she brings back a cursed golden idol from Egypt. Sadie does not know that the curse leads to death.

SADIE JOHNSON has two goals to accomplish, move into her new PENTHOUSE SUITE, and get on a flight to New York City for an important interview. Moving day becomes a comical series of events as The Two Moving Guys show up late. Sadie has bad luck with just about everything from food, to clothing, to travel plans.

While on her way to New York City, Sadie figures out that, her bad luck has been happening since she brought a golden idol back from an archaeological dig in Egypt with Dr Vock. Sadie meets Professor Thompkins, Frank Fortino, David Radford, Roy Saunders, Michael Ferreras, and Rachel Tornquist. They all race against time to save Sadie Johnson’s life before the golden idol’s curse of death kills her too.

My screenplay is complete with a 21,738-word count, 102 pages, using the Celtx software program. I won the 2010 Script Frenzy Challenge.

Dear Linda,
Your title is excellent - just exactly right for the tone of your book. Your pitches are good too, making the reader want more. Wonderful for teen girls and young adult women. You do have a way!

Dear Linda
What a good short pitch and also long. You so grabbed me and if you like forced me with your use of words to read on. CONGRATS. I know it is not finished yet, but what I have read is so well crafted. I love the character portrayal, I loved Sadie. When I read the short pitch I thought mmmm Maltese Falcon revisited. this book is funny , zany, had me on the edge of my seat in places, and certainly never left me borred. CONGRATS.
So glad I crossed over to find talent, I found so much more to back.
BACKED for sure by me
I do hope you can cross over to my genre and review my book, please comment ( this assists me in honing my skill) and if you feel, back it.
Thanks and BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR BOOK

Dear Linda, I love your wonderful play for the stage - totally radical idea - what a great story - I heard about not bringing seashore relics from Hawaii. :) Your pitch is excellent, so set the hook for me to read your book. :) When you use short paragraphs & lots of dialogue, it makes me want to keep reading to find out what's going to happen next. I'm backing your book. :) You have already backed one of my memoire books & I've backed all 5 of your books, now. Could you please just take a moment to back my other memoir book, "Tell Me Truei Love Stories?" Thanks. :) Love, Susie :)
