The Poetic Voice of Soul

Eunice Attwood

A book of Mystical teachings with a few beautiful inspired poems received from the inner voice, through a clairvoyant/teacher with over thirty years experience.

Having worked as a clairvoyant/poet/teacher for many years, I was given this wonderful book from the higher realms of consciousness. It is quite different from my first book - The Temple Dancer, and teaches a more advanced level of understanding. If you truly desire to know God - your true identity, then you will enjoy the read. It teaches the truth about our soul's purpose, and explains how and why, we and our world came into existence. We are not simply victims, we are God clothed in flesh, we are mind materialized. The poems included were given to me in advance of the teachings, and then I was guided to slot them into the appropriate paragraphs. Do not be put off by the word poetry in the title, it is not a book of poems. One reader from Australia commented it is more relevant to our time than the bible, which humbled me greatly. I am just a servant to that which is divine.

The mortal world is just a poor imitation of the higher realm. Everything that exists in our world, is Heaven, but seen through the murky window. In this world there are signs and tools everywhere for us to use in nature. One only has to look at the science of numerology, or astrology. Again, these tools are only metaphysical not spiritual. They affect our physical existence, even though there are those that would scoff at this. They even affect our physical attributes and body shape, as they all operate under the same physical law.

Each of us has been born with a special purpose, and the set of numbers we are born into gives us direction as to what that purpose might be, as do the planets, so why not use them until we are ready to take that leap into higher consciousness? These numbers also determine our personalities. Having been a numerologist for thirty years, I have seen a great deal of evidence of its accuracy, but only when working from the physical/mental planes of consciousness. Once Christ consciousness is attained, all of this falls away, it becomes invalid, as does the reality of Earth.

An Aries person, often has a large head, or elongated eyes, and can be very impatient. An Aries person with a Pisces ascendant would have slightly different qualities. A Pisces person may have issues with feet, or have small feet, as that part of the body is ruled by Pisces, They can be dreamers, or romantics. Even the personalities of people of the same signs are similar. It depends of course on where the planets were at birth, which brings in the different aspects. I can see in the numerology charts of people, if they are in the wrong career. The career they have chosen, is not in harmony with their numbers, and they can’t seem to get ahead.

All of theses sciences, are just tools to help us in our earthly existence, they are not spiritual, nor are they anything to do with spirit. We needed tools, so these things were created out of universal consciousness to help us on our journey. We all use tools every day, and while some may be expert with a hammer, they cannot use a sewing machine. It doesn’t mean the sewing machine has no worth, it is just of no worth to that particular person. Some people find the tools of astrology and numerology ridiculous, but this is because they don’t know how to use them as they operate from a different level of consciousness, be it the physical, mental, or intuitive level. The world is an out-picturing of what we carry within us. If it is within us to be a carpenter, that is what we will be, and if it is an astrologer, then likewise.

Material tools like the gadgets we use in everyday life, were not physically made by God, but the idea of how to create these things came to us through divine mind. The wood, metal, and natural resources used for these things were created out of divine substance. A person with an earthly consciousness would attract to himself the tools needed for digging and tilling the soil, because that is where his consciousness would be focused.

An early mathematician would have needed an abacus to do his calculations, although in actuality, his work would be on the mental planes. This is the level a designer or inventor would work from.

A tarot card reader would use physical cards, but the work would be done on the intuitive plane. The cards have no actual power, they just show images on which the intuitive mind focuses, and draws forth an understanding from an intuitive level. The paper from which the card is made, is created out of the tree from which the wood was pulped, so the substance of the card is God, but the use of the cards is on the intuitive plane. Whatever our view of our world is, or wherever our focus is directed, so will it be out-pictured.

Even the solar system and the planets are created out of the substance that is God, but they only exist on a physical level. How we perceive them is an illusion. Astrology is based on material laws, not spiritual laws, but they can bring us to higher understanding. When living under spiritual law, we have no need for the planets or the solar system, or for numbers or names, these are all things of the material world. The intuitive planes though, will eventually bring us to a place where we are more able to understand the higher laws.

During a meditation on more than one occasion, I have seen the entire universe within me, it was so small, but to my eyes it seemed infinite. I once watched a film with a rather humorous interpretation of the world and our universe. We existed within a marble while aliens played with us not even knowing we were in there.

I recently asked about the reality of my world, and was given this wonderful prose, which I would like to share with you. It shows that everything in our world, is an aspect of ourselves, projected outwardly, as our world.

REVELATION    (by Eunice)

I asked the Master to reveal to me the truth of my world.

“You have created your world out of consciousness.

The oceans are your emotions, you sometimes fear them

because of their depth, and wonder what may lurk beneath.

Sometimes they rage, and you are not able to control them.

But they also bring joy, and great beauty of feeling.

The mountains are your might and your power,

and the heights you hope to ascend to.

The caves are your secret places, the parts of your life

that are yours, and yours alone.

The place where your thoughts are kept hidden.

The tree is your life, with all its branches and many aspects.

The grass beneath your feet is your home, your grounding,

and sense of security.

The rocks are your foundations and beliefs.

The sky is your hope and aspirations,

and the stars your dreams and wishes.

When you gaze upon them, they are seemingly out of reach,

yet you long to be there.

They hold an infinity of possibilities.

The flowers are the pleasures that bring colour, and perfume to sate your senses,

The flavours of your life and sense of fun.

The rivers and streams are the blood that flows,

bringing life to your world, sustaining it.”

“ And what of the heart?” I asked.

“ You are the heart of your world,” the Master replied.

“ For without your heart and your consciousness,

none of your world would exist.

You created all of this, then hid the knowledge

until you were ready to remember.

That time is upon you.”

I was overcome with joy as I received this piece of poetry. I hope it will help others to see the truth of our beautiful blue globe.

The state of world affairs is also governed by our consciousness, or to be more precise, mass consciousness. There is evidence that the actual physical globe is undergoing massive changes, with global warming, melting icecaps, earthquakes, landslides, and flooding. It is a sign that our consciousness of the world is changing. There has been an upswing in terrorism and starvation, sure signs that we are making progress as the mortal world tries to get our attention. This may sound contradictory, such awful things being a sign of progress, but I was given this information during an ‘epiphany.’ The higher we climb, the more the magnetism tries to get our attention. The Earth consciousness cannot stand to have us rise above it, so it throws everything it can at us to get out attention. This is why I no longer watch the news on television. It is too easy to buy into all this negativity. I was accused of burying my head in the sand by my mother. I assured her that if there was anything I needed to know, someone would tell me.

Sure, for the world, things look pretty bad, but when one sees through the illusion of all this, it is a sign that it is melting away as we enter the next level. In the bigger picture it is possible to see what is happening. This is not to say that the human level of suffering isn’t real, but it is only real while living under mortal consciousness. When we have raised our vibration to a higher level, it will not affect us any more. The world will not affect us any more, as we have let go of it in consciousness, and now live in the kingdom that Jesus spoke of. And we don’t have to die to get there, only let go of our human ego. It is also interesting to me, that we (as our God-self,) have provided ourselves with lots of clues. Even the book of Revelations holds secrets about what is coming at us right now. Nostradamus saw it, and wrote it down for us as well. All of these predictions are coming true at the present time, and as he was created out of our consciousness, he was part of our own consciousness that provided these clues for ourselves.

An example of this for instance is, if you knew you were going to die but would re-incarnate at a later time, you may not want to struggle in life again to get where you are today, so you would leave yourself clues to help you find answers                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  without having to go back to scratch. But because you would be a different person, with different attributes, it might take you a long time to figure out that these clues existed, as in your new body, you weren’t aware that you even left yourself clues. These clues were hidden everywhere, even in nature, but because you couldn’t remember, they were of no use to you. But eventually, a little familiar voice revealed to you where one of your clues was hidden. Because you had found one clue, it made sense that there might be others, and so you began to look. Very soon, you could see clues everywhere. This is only an analogy, but I think it serves its purpose well. As we created everyone and everything necessary for our journey, it makes sense that we created Nostradamus, and the book of Revelations, as part of our journey, to leave us clues and revelations. In fact all the great historical figures came out of our consciousness for us to learn by, to bring us clues.

The stars and the planets, we created out of our consciousness. (I read somewhere, that our solar system is an exact replica of the human molecular structure, though I have not looked more deeply into this, nor do I know if it is true. But as it is above, so it is below, so nothing surprises me anymore. The sun represents our father, the one that created us out of its brilliance, the moon, our mother, with her gentle lunar light. Every planet represents part of our makeup. We hold the universe within us, and yet it is infinite, therefore, we too must be infinite. It is out-pictured for us to look upon with great awe, and yet it is out of our own consciousness. It reveals that everything we behold, is within us. It is there for us to use on our path to higher learning, and then we overcome it all.                                                                                                     Space is an earthly concept. Time and space do not exist in spirit, only infinity. But our human consciousness perceives infinity as time and space.

I wonder if human beings were at some time in the future, to be born on another planet in our solar system, or on the moon, what they would be like? An astrology chart is always cast from the point of view that the Earth is the centre of our universe, and the other planets fall in certain sections or houses on our charts. But if we were based on the moon, the Earth would be in a sector of our chart, bringing in a whole new dimension. Where as now people are told they need to be earthed, (or grounded,) if they were born on the moon, would they be told they needed to be mooned, in order to be stable? (hmmmm?)

So many people look upon the ancient arts of the metaphysical plane, as the Devil’s work. I watched a minister performing an exorcism on television recently. A tarot card was found in the house, and straight away he was convinced he had found the reason for the haunting. Tarot cards have no power, other then the power the beholder believes they have. Again it is all in the mind. They are pieces of cardboard with pictures on, that is all. Even the one who uses them is only getting the information from the intuitive mind. This is merely a mental practice. It is wherever the consciousness of the one that does the reading is, that can cause the problem, especially if he is working from the lower levels. We can conjure up as many devils as the mind will allow, but they only exist on the mental/emotional planes, or on the lower astral levels.

The minister scattered holy water all over the house, but to no avail. The people had to move out of the house eventually, and the minister smugly commented that he could ‘close the book’ on that case. He hadn’t solved a thing. I wondered what would befall the next poor victims that moved in. If the vicar had seen through an illumined mind, he would have seen the nothingness of what was going on. Because he and the occupants of the house felt such fear and dread of a demon, they actually gave more power to the belief, and increased the metaphysical phenomena. This will stay in the house as an energy, or thought form, for the next tenants. (I was once asked to clear a house because of a haunting, when it was in fact energy from violent acts that had occurred there.) I found no spirit. If I had found a deceased soul trapped between realms I would have                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        helped him on his way, as I was operating back then from a metaphysical level.

As human beings, we see what we choose to see, even if what we see isn’t real, and how quick we are to judge.

I was out to dinner one night, (a candlelight dinner I might add.) I had been invited, and was having a lovely time until a visitor to the house came in and saw the candle, looked at me, then my friend, (another clairvoyant,) put two and two together, making three, and ‘saw’ a séance was taking place. This was in his head of course. It was nothing more than a harmless dinner. I don’t do séances! But in his head, the man had imagined all sorts of goings on. He knew that years ago I had been involved with mediumship, and this had conjured up all kinds of fears in his mind. I have come up against this kind of prejudice often, but it rolls right off my shoulders.

Although the cards, astrology etc, are all just tools, they are not God. I have often heard Christians saying that these things are of the Devil, that too is false. They are nothing, merely tools that can be used until a person is ready to put them away to go onto higher things. Good and evil are states of human consciousness, and if the perceiver sees them as the Devil’s work, he must have within him a consciousness of evil, therefore he cannot know God. When God exists in consciousness, evil cannot exist.

If a devoutly religious man who worships God, sees evil in someone, then God is not with him. He is worshipping a false idol. Where God is, evil does not exist, only the appearance of evil. This is why Jesus said, “Get thee behind me Satan.” He was not referring to a real entity, he was referring to the temptation within himself to believe in the appearance of evil. We will see whatever our human mind wants us to, this is how mortal mind works.

There are people who do work from the lower planes of the astral, and these people can produce the effects of evil, even without using tools. Their energy is so low, that they are uncomfortable to be around. If you encounter such souls, leave immediately or their negativity can rub off on you in their presence, (but only while you are operating under physical law, under Divine law, you would say, ‘so what.’)

I had a rather humorous experience of Satan myself. I was returning home after visiting someone who was in a very negative frame of mind and had been complaining a lot. I was trying hard to think nice thoughts about the person, but still the nasty niggling thoughts were trying to creep in. I muttered, “Get thee behind me Satan.” (I was really asking that I could see the truth of this person’s divinity, not speaking to the devil.) I kept repeating this over and over to drown out the thoughts. It wasn’t working. I then yelled it out loud, “GET THEE BEHIND ME SATAN!” When I looked up, the grey four wheeled drive vehicle in front of me, had the registration plates, SATAN. I just dissolved into laughter and couldn’t stop laughing, all the way home. How wonderfully spirit works, I forgot all about the other person and chuckled for days about it. I never managed to overtake Satan nor put him behind me, but he did turn off at an intersection further along the road. (As I was writing a lot of songs at that time, I thought about the title, “Satan is a 4 wheel drive,” for a song, but flagged the idea later.)

Getting back to the original theme of this chapter, signs, I described the journey of the butterfly earlier in the book, but there are signs everywhere if we choose to look. Many of these signs may come through others, but whatever our consciousness is ready to receive will find its way to us. The beautiful souls that come into our life are there for a very special purpose. We may have created them, but they don’t always get the recognition they deserve. And that recognition should always be, “Here is God in the form of my help and companionship.”

These people, as the song says, are the ‘Wind beneath our wings.’

It is for these humble souls, who get little recognition or thanks, that the next poem was given to me.

THE TREE

By Eunice

My roots entwined in the holy soil of this chosen land, I felt joy and contentment with my lot.

Roman soldiers came one day and walked among my brothers and I,

drunken and in mirth.

They stood before me, choosing me over my kin.

Then, the swooping of a mighty axe, took my breath away,

and felled me from where I stood.

I screamed in agony, tho’ silent to their ears, as is the way of my kind.

They lopped my branches, and scourged me, stripping me of my bark and foliage,

leaving me naked and humiliated in the sun.

Dragged within the city walls, I was drawn and quartered,

I knew not their reasoning, nor what was my crime.

A man crowned with thorns was brought before me,

he too, bled.

My sap soaked the ground, to mingle with his blood.

They put nails in me, and formed a cross,

then placed me on his shoulders, and it was he who bore my burden.

Thru’ Jerusalem’s streets we suffered,

as he dragged my aching body before our tormentors,

while a few, quietly wept for our sorrows.

Outside the city walls, they nailed me to the man,

and raised us aloft in our anguish.

His mother wept at his feet, but where were my mourners.

Not one to grieve for me, save him, who alone, knew my pain.

This prophet, only yesterday, had sheltered beneath my branches,

and addressed those who hungered.

I was humbled that it was my shade he chose to rest in.

He had spoken well, and the throng seemed well pleased.

Now here, cradled in my arms, I felt his life ebbing slowly.

We held each other, and he thanked me for my part in this, his greatest role,

My purpose revealed to me, I was overjoyed.

Then with a sigh, darkness came as the sun hid it’s face in shame,

And together we bore witness to the gates of Paradise

More on Chapters 1

“There have been many times in my own experience, when I have been guided to make massive changes to my personal security, so much so, that my friends and family have thought I was quite mad. I gave up a secure job with an insurance company, in my late forties to go to England. I was unable to take enough leave to allow me enough time to do what I had to do. I felt I had few skills to enable me to get another good job, I felt un-employable in fact, but the feeling was so strong I had no choice but to go. I had little money to go with, and rented my home out to long term tenants, who would at least pay my mortgage while I was away. Heaven only knew what I would do when I returned. I didn’t even know what I was really going to England for, other than the fact that I was born there, and was keen to explore my roots. But why now? I was not financially prepared, but I don’t think I would have ever been financially prepared, living the life style I was accustomed to. I have always pretty much lived hand to mouth each day. I never had any ambition to chase the dollar. As long as I had a roof over my head and food to eat, it was fine. I always believed I was rich in spirit, and this sufficed.” – Interesting how much your life has lots of pointers into mine. This a typical of resolute that I took when I quit secure job at latest employer, NAPE thus:

"Over the period of August 2009 to February 2010, I published a series of nine politically-sensitive articles in Uganda’s New Vision newspaper. In late February 2010, National Association of Professional Environmentalists (NAPE), an indigenous NGO where I was working as a Researcher and Computer Systems Administrator, demanded that in writing, I denounce writing any more articles in the newspapers or else, I file for unpaid leave and go to pursue and finish up with my political aspirations.
I weighed various options and concluded that if I allowed to be silenced and trodden upon in that kind of manner, I would be denying myself a fundamental human right of freedom of expression. I filed for four-month leave, which started on 1 March 2010. Courtesy of the forced leave option, NAPE exploited the opportunity to get rid of me.
Yet, my situation became compounded because after my departure from NAPE, and until the inspiration to write this book occurred to me, I wrote and submitted several other articles to the New Vision, which they declined to publish. Peter Kashure, a cousin and friend who hailed from my village, Butsibo, in Sheema, Ankole, on several occasions advised me to write a book and publish it. He argued that if a person fell and remained on the ground crying, it would exalt the devil. Kashure’s persistent counsel and encouragement that I write a book did not make any sense to me until Saturday, 18 September 2010. On that Saturday evening, as I chatted in my sitting room in Bukoto, a Kampala suburb, with another close friend, Edward Obbo, who was also not happy with my decision to relinquish my job at NAPE, he also suggested that considering the highly dramatic twists and turns that had characterized my life experience, I ought to write my autobiography and publish it.
In my inner self I began to take more seriously the persistent voices that urged me to write my autobiography and, I must say, I finally got convinced that it was God speaking to me about this long overdue need. Hence I complied. [thanks to which my book, Destine to Triumph is in the making.]"

Chapters 1

“… I became aware that something odd was happening, this was much more than a sun strike situation. There was a bright light directly in front of me like a strong laser beam, drawing me into it. The sun was low in the sky, and it reflected on the road, slightly below my line of vision, but this other bright, radiant light was directly in front of me. The light began to engulf my car moving completely around it until I was completely surrounded in a total white out. I felt a sense of panic as I became totally blinded by white light. I couldn’t even see the houses by the roadside. I wanted to pull over but couldn’t see the side of the road. I fought the urge to brake suddenly in case I skidded on the wet surface and hit something. I had no choice but to trust there was nothing in front of me.” Typifying Soul(Paul)’s experience on his way to Damascus!

“I was always asking questions that no-one could ever answer adequately,” – much like I said that one time I posed to my church leader in discipleship classes a startling question and he saying, “If you want to know God, you will go mad; and if you don’t submit to God, you will loose you soul”. May be this what you enlist, I need take as gospel truth:

“Truth dwells in a realm beyond the mind. God cannot be known though the mind, but the mind is the means through which God’s grace will reveal itself to us, when we are ready to receive it. If we truly desire to know God, then we must prepare our minds to receive his grace. God cannot enter a busy mind, a mind that is filled with self chatter. It can only reveal itself when the mind is still, and at peace. For this to occur, we must learn to let the mind become still, in order to enable the inner voice from beyond mind to express itself. We have to have an open mind, how can it come to us if the door is shut? God can only come in, if invited.”

The while we think, "How can this truly be?"
Until comes time of pressing need for truth,
When, having heard it said, it sets us free.

Eunice, I've now read Chapter 2, and it conveys precisely how I conceived the shape-shifting in my story to work. i want to share another little poem with you.

I am the storm and the lightning,
I am the land and the sea,
I am a bat on the nightwing,
I am a gull flying free.

I set the earthquake to rumbling,
I teach the songbird to sing,
I start the avalanche tumbling,
I paint the butterfly’s wing.

Mine are the galaxies wheeling,
Mine is the gentle rainfall,
I am whatever you’re feeling,
I am the All in the All.

Eunice-

This book is a great reflection of your inner beauty and soul. I have read some lines of marvelous poetry and it makes me feel like I have known you well. Every sentence reveals its true account to your personality and real identity, This book is somehow very philosphical and at the same time very enriching and soothing to read. I can feel your heavy emotions about life, the continues search for true meaning of life more than the physical world of materialism. I must admit that you have been so mentally tranquilized and emotionall peaceful. I love it. I hope everyone discovers the beauty of this book.
Take care and Good luck.

I can see this going a long way towards reinforcing the beliefs of many who might have lapsed over the years. The only problem I can see is in getting them to read it. Those who do have a firm sense of belief will be equally uplifted. A fine, modern book of encouragement and so well written. Backed with great pleasure.

I am interested in your book and am putting it on my watchlist. I will be reading parts of it as soon as I can. In that it is related to the Bible, it perhaps bears some similarity to my own book, which, if you are a Christian, potential Christian, or a thoughtful and objective skeptic in this regard, you might enjoy. Its title is "Things Are Not as They Seem."

Eunice, This is so uplifing and such an affirmation for me. As you have read my book you know that it is all about realizing our individual purposes to aid in bringing the true vision to life. I am so greatful for you for this wonderful and encouraging book, Had you not listened and allowed yourself to be a vehicle, those who are searching or perhaps those who have not yet fully understood their own experience would not have received this beautiful gift.

Our roads are so parallel and I am looking foward to some of the lessons found in this glorious experience.
Keep shaing and walking in faith and thank you so much for acknowledging your piece to this puzzle we call Life...Backed wishing you all the blessings God has for you Patricia aka Columbia Layers of the Heart

Your story mirrors my own spiritual journey closely as do all the stories I have read on spiritual growth. I have come to realize anyone can be happy at any level of awareness, so much so they become stuck and may never strive to grow further in this lifetime. One has to come to the awareness described so well in your opening poem before they break through the materialistic illusion. I back your book happily. If you haven't already done so, you may want to check out "The Letter" on this site. Peace be with you. Bud

The Poetic Voice of Soul

Eunice Attwood

I enjoyed chapter one, "Journey into the light" and I loved the poem at the start of this chapter. You write with the confidence of someone who has strong convictions and more than ample knowledge of the subject matter. Happy to support this and all the best in finding a publisher Eunice.

Dear Eunice, I love your poems - thank you for sharing. :) Your pitch is excellent, so set the hook for me to read your book. :) When you use short paragraphs, it makes me want to keep reading to find out what's going to happen next. I'm backing your book. :) Could you please take a moment to back my TWO memoir books? Thanks. :) Love, Susie :)

This is information from authonomy (so beware of any other untrue information you may receive that is spam & not quotes of authonomy):
"When you back a book, it only improves the ranking of that book, not yours. However, the author whose book you are backing may decide to back your book also, in which case yes, your ranking would be improved"
"Every time you place a book on your bookshelf, your recommendation pushes the book up the rankings. And while that book sits on your bookshelf, your reputation as a talent spotter increases depending on how well that book performs."
