Hi Paula, The poem and the first chapter reflect the narrator’s positive attitude about love yet there’s the hint of its troubles. This has exuberance and sincere expression. Good title. Shelved – Katherine

Welcome aboard, Paula. This website will improve your writing craft, if you allow it. I'm a bit of a pitch doctor, having read thousands of pitches in my time on this website, so I want to share my insight here with you. You have to think of your pitches as your sales tool to grab the casual reader's eyes. The short pitch should not be dialogue. The long pitch TELLS too much; needs to SHOW, beginning with your MC's name. Perfecting your pitches is how you climb in ranking to gather more exposure and comments to better your novel.

Though I have been a very active member for over a year and have the most commented book on the website, I can still use your comments on my book when you get the chance. Every little bit helps. Cheers!

Hi Paula. I'm always attracted to anything with the words soulmate, and love. I'm not a critic, just a scriptwriter who appreciates a good visual. Nice journey you've painted.

sincerely,

PLATONIC SOULMATE
This is an interesting coming-of-age story. I think you’ll find a teenage audience for this who will enjoy your narrator’s description of what first love feels like. You have a simple but clear writing style that makes this read as if a young teenager were writing it. I’m adding this to my shelf. Burgio (Grain of Salt).

Dear Paula, I got so excited when I saw that you had backed, "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not." :) Thanks so very much. :) Since I have already backed your book, I will put your book on my watchlist. Could you please take a moment to back my completed unedited memoir version, "Tell Me True Love Stories?" I'd be ever so grateful. :) Thank you. :) Love, Susie :)
authonomy quote: "Every time you place a book on your bookshelf, your recommendation pushes the book up the rankings. And while that book sits on your bookshelf, your reputation as a talent spotter increases depending on how well that book performs."
Here is the response I received from authonomy concerning backing:
When you back a book, it only improves the ranking of that book, not yours. However, the author whose book you are backing may decide to back your book also, in which case yes, your ranking would be improved."

Dear Paula,
You have the makings of a really wonderful book here, I say makings as it needs a little editing but with that it is an honest read, though fiction? Someone told me to read my work out loud, I did and corrected some past and present tenses, and I feel that with this your book could rise. You have a wonderful heart in this work, and I really love that. I do wish you the best of luck on this site, and anything I can do to assist a fellow writer please let me know. Not that you need it, but maybe I do. ha!
BACKED for sure by me
I do hope you review my book, please comment and if you feel, back it.
Thanks and BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR BOOK

Lovely, written in a young voice which I can identify with because of the music connection. When I was a teen, I listened to the Beatles obsessively, drove my mom crazy. Will read more later.

I'm back and I read through the 3rd chapter. You have a lot of inspiration here, but the grammar, punctuation and spelling need some cleaning up. I wish you the best with getting your ideas out into the world.

a spiritual path pitch.. loved it.. backed your book :)

Dear Paula, I love that you say, "I love" a lot - I do, too. :) I also love you large print - makes for a really quick enjoyable read. :) Your pitch is excellent, so set the hook for me to read your book. :) When you use short paragraphs & lots of dialogue, it makes me want to keep reading to find out what's going to happen next. I'm backing your book. :) Could you please take a moment to back my TWO memoir books? Thanks. :) Love, Susie :)

This is information from authonomy (so beware of any other untrue information you may receive that is spam & not quotes of authonomy):
