Spiritual Warfare: A Practical Approach

Keith Wilke

Learn what Spiritual Warfare is and how to be victorious in spiritual battles.

Spiritual Warfare is not related to things of this world. Spiritual Warfare relates to a war between God and his enemies and as humans, we are often caught in the crossfire. This war takes place in spiritual realms not physical realms. We see the results of the warfare in how people are manipulated and influenced. The agents of this war in the spiritual realm are God’s Angels and Unclean Spirits of various types. Humans also play a part in this war. If we pretend the war doesn’t exist, we become victims of the war without any hope.

If we acknowledge the war, we can play an active part and avoid most of its consequences. If we understand when we are being attacked, we can defend ourselves. If we understand what types of endeavors the enemy will attack, we can preempt the attack and rob it’s of its power.

Hi Keith,
Let me preface this comment with saying that while I am not Christian I did find your text very interesting and I think I may have some helpful comments on how to better structure your book.

1. You need a Table of Contents at the very beginning, even on here because I was extremely confused as to how everything was tying together and what was coming next. This is a non fiction book and its not appropriate to keep the reader in suspense.
2. Your text reads very "stream of consciousness" and needs lots of headlines, subheadlines, etc. Also, watch your grammar and your repetition such as "It may be difficult to know the difference..." was in there like 7 times.
3. I am in the middle of writing my own manual for my religion (as well as being a counselor) and I find it helpful to divide the text into the "spiritual/divine" the "psychological" and the "historical/sacred text." The reason I say this is because you say that "the war is spiritual and that you cannot fight it with earthly means" and that may well be true for you, but then you go on to give a slew of psychological tactics to use. For example, rewiring your mind to not use your childhood as an excuse. That's Psychology not divine intervention.
I don't think that Chrisitans would be put off if you do talk about Psychology and acknowledge it as such. After all, our minds are our greatest weapon.

I think incorporating some of the structural comments would greatly benefit the text. Publishers (for non-fiction texts) ask for a complete outline, and if you have not done that I would strongly suggest that you do. Not only would it guide your writing and make it "tighter" but it would give you something to hand in to gain representation. If you don't have the time or the inclination to do that, hire someone who will because you won't get published without it.

Frith,
Kayla Shaw

The concept is interesting yet the format slightly out of whack with mainstream society. Though I am sure there are publishers who would be interested, they are not mainstream. Jesus taught through the use of telling stories because he knew that people found them more friendly ways to receive information. Writing a work of fiction with characters versed in this practice would make it far more appealing to a broader audience and therefore more lucrative.

Good stuff but you are certainly right about letting the Holy Spirit guide and lead you....no one should certainly jump right into this. Good luck I have sent a more private email with some more error I found.

There are lots of typos that need to come out in the next edit (3 in the opening paragraph alone). It's too hard to do a line edit here but if you want help message me. The tpoic is interesting and often glossed over in passing so your book is a great resource. There are a few phrases that bothered me such as "You may be totally useless to God, but..." and the idea that a reader with sympathise on the side of the unclean you may want to reconsider how you present the information you are conveying at these points. Also revise use of the word "that" throughout -- most of them can go without changing the meanig of the sentance. I realise this comment seems picky and not the usual gushing praise thrown around on this site but I believe you have something to say so my interest is sincere in moving it towards publishing.

I love this book Keith. For us that know it is out there. Eunice, another person on here wrote about her experiences seeing dead people and claims that the devil doesnt exist... and I told her you think you know everything because you see so much more than most humans, but the devil does not want you to know without a doubt that he exists, or you will have power to defeat him. Anyhow, my book (PHEN) is a children's book that teaches 12-16 ish about the spirtual warfare in a fun, adventurous story.

Take Care! Backed.

Dear Keith, I love that you have Biblically presented spiritual warfare & ended with Eph 6 :) - that sums it up. :) v.18, "Praying always with all prayers & supplications in the Spirit & watching thereunto with all prayer & supplication with the saints" also keeps us focused. :) I am so thankful for you in that you went through step by step with scriptures to back up everything you said. :) God bless you. Jude1:9, "The Lord rebuke you," is a totally good reference. :) Heb 4:12, "The Word of God is quick & powerful & sharper than any 2-edged sword." :) Hope God will have your write many more instructional books. :) I've backed your book :) - could you please take just a moment to back my memoirs/testimony book? :) Thanks so very much. :) Love, Susie :)

This is information from authonomy (so beware of any other untrue information you may receive that is spam & not quotes of authonomy):
"When you back a book, it only improves the ranking of that book, not yours. However, the author whose book you are backing may decide to back your book also, in which case yes, your ranking would be improved"
"Every time you place a book on your bookshelf, your recommendation pushes the book up the rankings. And while that book sits on your bookshelf, your reputation as a talent spotter increases depending on how well that book performs."

SPIRITUAL WARFARE; A PRACTICAL APPROACH
This is a genuine and very thought-provoking book. Quite fascinating in parts, with a good clear Christian Faith shining through. This is such a tough subject and I am unable to deal with this fully. You speak with a strong voice - well done.

If everyone believed as you do that there is good and evil in constant battle, things would be much easier to reconcile and to develop a strategy. You have a very thought-provoking book here and you have presented it well. It was a pleasure to read this and I am sure that many people will be inspired by it. It's a tough concept for me to swallow. Actually, any warfare is tough to swallow. I just don't want to do it. Make love and not war is what I've said for decades. Good luck with your conversations with God. I don't know that talk can be done through Spiritual Warfare, just like I don't know that the DOD should have a Cybercom and consider that cyberspace is the fifth theater of war. Reminds me all a little of the seventh circle of hell. Too bad that Jesus taught that God had enemies. I'm glad you think that God is going to win. "All we are saying, is give Peace chance." Backed for now.
