For the Love of God

Erin Keenright

A compilation of encouragement and compassion for Christians in their walk with the Lord and for non-Christians who need encouragement and compassion.

God's love is what compells Him to do what He does...create this beautiful world in which we live, send His one and only Son to die for us so we wouldn't have to, and to continue to reach out and accept us as we are time and time again. This Love is the same Love that should help us in our journey through this life. If you are already a Christian (you have accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Savior) and are looking for some encouragement and/or reminders of the treasure we are to our Heavenly Father OR you are not a Christian and you think being one is nothing but hypocritical church attendance and rules and regulations...either way, the hope and prayer is that these words will find their way to your heart.

wow sounds like a great book. points out a lot of things novelists explore in works all-around, not just us Christians. would you like to swap reads?

Hello Erin:

As I was reading through For the Love of God, I was moved at how you write from the heart. It is clear that every word is borne out of an intimate relationship with the Lord with has clearly brought you through many trials. Your testimony of His love is bound to resonate with many readers on a very deep level.

I do have some suggestions which you might consider. Because some of them may violate the very essence of your writing style, you can prayerfully take them or leave them.

1. You may want to break the submission into chapters. This makes it easier for people to come back later and pick up where they left off, as opposed to scrolling through a long submission to find their place.

2. Your writing has a very conversational style which speaks directly to the heart, but this may also hurt you with publishers. You may want to consider cutting down on the use of contractions. Subconsciously in the mind of the reader, the excessive use of contractions tends to reduce the professionalism of one's writing.

3. Along the same lines of professionalism, try cutting down on the ALL CAPS. Instead, you might try italicizing words instead.

4. Watch your paragraphs. Make sure they have at least three sentences.

5. When you have quotation marks in a sentence, always remember to put punctuation like periods or commas inside the quotation marks-even if there is only one word in quotation marks. This tends to be inconsistent in the text of your book.

I think you have a tremendous writing ministry in the blooming. May the Lord bless and multiply this ministry and may He continue to give you creative book ideas!

This book touches on the wisdom of all great messengers of Truth the world has ever known.

Be honest, understand those around you until there is no wall between you and the other, and expect nothing in return and give everything away. These ideas are the foundations of all goodness in the world.

While I may call what I live by Taoism, and you call yours Christianity, they are both different articulations of the same type of Love for all things that makes this universe a place worth living in. If it weren't for that deeper type of Love, beyond what we normally call love, there'd be no point to these lives.

A wonderful personal examination of the concepts of Christianity from your perspective. It is in community, and articulating our own journeys, that we keep the words of prophets alive and well (rather than simply repeating what has already been said).

Good work.

Hi Erin:

Thank you for backing my book. I greatly appreciate it. I viewed your book again and could not refrain from giving it six stars.

May this find you in good health and enjoying all the blessings God has given us in the past and still doing so in the present and will do so in the future - in Christ.

Hi Erin:

You have written an excellent book. The subject is superb. No doubt this will be a great help to Christians and nominal chruchgoers. It's inspirational and edifying. Backed and starred.

Our Lord bless you continually.
