The Ash Gathering (Angelwings sequel)

Hello Anna,

Reflecting on "Angelwings," I decided to write to you and came upon your prologue to "The Ash Gathering." My only comment is that it's off to an engaging, well-written start, and I'll look forward to reading more.

My purpose in writing is mainly to mention that I'm now in my third year on the site, and despite strong praise from most readers, my novel "The Doctor of Summitville" lags in the ranking. So I feel it's time for a bold, immodest request. I'm asking some discerning authors I've backed to read the revised novel and, if you find it publishable, to give it a turn on your shelf. I'll gladly reback "Angelwings," which I recall as outstanding.

I read the prologue and in my humble opinion that is a good beginning. I have nothing against prologues and yours is intriguing. The only thing I wanted to mention is the last sentence. To me it seemed too short - and with your admirable talent for writing beautiful descriptive sentences you could add just a little bit more detail. But that's just my point of view. The rest is great.
