Joe Crowe and the Queen of the Sun

Phil Savidge

Lost in Time and Space, Joe Crowe battles desperately to return to civilization. But can he survive an encounter with the Queen of the Sun?

Lost in space and time, marooned on an alien planet. Menaced by vicious creatures, captured and tortured by hostile sun worshippers, despised and rejected even by outcast slaves, Joe Crowe struggles simply to stay alive.
Is he on Earth? Has he gone back in time? Forwards? Even Leila, Joe’s freakishly clever sister, can’t work it out.
“I have been keeping a list in my head – a long list – of things that don’t exist here. No electricity, no gas, no solar, no wind power, in fact no power at all. No cars, planes, buses, trains, phones, TVs, bots, droids, plastics, synthetic materials of any description, tarmac roads, holograms, newspapers, sticking plasters, sellotape, trainers, nanos, socks, shorts, paper, pencils, tickers, computers, space ships, radios, chargers, tubes of ointment, doctors, nurses, machines that go ping, medicines….”
“We’re not on Earth, are we?”
“It’s not a question of where we are, Joe. It’s when we are.”
