Prologue
The mighty ocean waves covered the City of Kings and its capital city of Atlantis, and the once great territory separated from the mainland and sunk beneath the ocean waves and into the depths below, never to be seen again. King Aragon watched from a faraway hillside as his once mighty kingdom sinks beneath the ocean waves. He sheds a single tear and continues with his journey, his young son is cradled in his arms and he carries with him enough provisions to keep the child from starving but not enough for himself. “Farewell my beloved kingdom, may you rest in peace,” King Aragon said. He began his dangerous march towards the Lion Tribe Territory.
King Aragon continues on his journey through snowy passes and desert sands. He was getting sick but he could not give up yet. The cool air was affecting his lungs, his breath slowed down, but he kept on going determined to reach the Lion Tribe village. King Aragon marches for days, blisters on his feet, suffering from frost bite and battling pneumonia.
The King marches through the darkness of the cold and extreme blizzard; and the blizzard is harsh and unforgiving. People are nowhere to be found in this weather, except for this one man travelling through the snow. This man braves the storm, with his young son wrapped warmly in his arms. In another point in time, this man was a king. Now his kingdom lies in ruins, his people are scattered, and the only thing that matters to him now is the safety of his heir and son. His wife died right before the fall of his beloved City of Kings. Now this fallen king is heading into Lion Tribe territory, searching for a safe haven.
At long last he arrived at the Lion Tribe, where he collapsed dead in the snow. Heronos and his wife Lucy discovered the king, and gave him the proper burial he deserved. They then grabbed the young boy in their arms, fulfilling the promise they had made to the king several months before his death. They would raise the boy as their own in the Lion Tribe and keep his heritage a secret from him, so that he would never learn the horror that befell his father and the kingdom he came from.
