Badonkadonk: and other things that make you blush

Amy Ainsley

What makes you blush in the bedroom? Are you ready to laugh as you find answers about sexuality as God intended?

Written with sarcastic humor, Badonkadonk: and other things that make you blush is a fun journey through the questions young women, engaged, and newly married have about sex. You will laugh out loud as you read about making intimacy fun, find the questions you've always had but not had the courage to ask answered, and learn more about why sex is an important part of your marriage.

And, yes, you will blush.

The author has years of experience working with 20-something women and knows how to engage you in the romance of intimacy while also acknowledging the awkwardness of sexual exploration and satisfaction. Here is one Christian who isn't afraid to talk about sex - and you'll be grateful for this guide for years!

Hi Amy,
I found your book when I had a quick search for 'instructional', and read the first five chapters. I must admit that you have your own style when it comes to voice and boldness. It's easy to follow and unpretentiously structured. I often find myself wondering why most authors don't develop unique POVs on sex and other worldly matters...I mean books don't have to tell a specific story. It can be a story like yours which is successfully objective and not blindly subjective. You seem like you're full of diverse dimensions and obviously you've observed thousands of different types of people. I liked your spirit and generosity. Thanks for sharing what you've found out on human interactions.
You may also find my book Ten Deep Footprints interesting, as one of my characters is a nymphomaniac who can't stop thinking of sex. I've only submitted the first 2 chapters of my book, and I'll be very glad if you could take me on your bookshelf or to your watchlist and make a comment. First impressions do matter, you know. I'll definitely come back to read more and share my thoughts.
Best wishes,
LCF QUARTET, Lucette

I came across this looking for humour. I smiled early on and then I grinned a lot more and now I know why I am still happy with my wife at the age of 66!

Amy, Well done! Entertainingly written, covers the topic well, keeps a light touch. I've added Badonkadonk to my bookshelf and given it a bunch of stars. Could I ask you to take a look at The Lillehaugen Sting, a novel about a Christian woman who begins seeing a man who's not what he seems to be, while she overlooks as fine a man as the Creator ever put together. I would value your comments. Thanks.

Well; that title Amy drew me in to read more,
after reading all seven chapters posted, have to say i found it very informative from a Christian point of view.
Certainly sets the standards for what is right and wrong in the art of sexual encounters.

I think you have done an excellent job with this book - lots of humour and good helpful content. My wife works with teenagers and I think it would be perfect for them. Six star rating from me.

Hi glad to see some holy sex at last but as far as we know neither God, Mary or Jesus ever had any! Anyway good luck. I shall use this liberally from now on :)

Where was this book twenty years ago when I was married? The honest insight in this book would have made the transition to the marriage bed so much more freeing and enjoyable. My husband an I eventually learned to laugh and now after twenty years and five kids later, all aspects of our Christian marriage is a joy. If this book were published, I would definitely buy this for my kids when they become engaged. It takes the mystery and pressure off and gives the couple freedom to love one another the way God intended. Six Stars! If you have time, would you consider taking a look at my Christian novel. The Character in my book is intent on staying pure until marriage.
Thanks, and best wishes for your wonderfully helpful book.

I loved the frank and straight-forward talk about sex, combined with appropriate, Godly humor. This is a book that I would give to my grown children without hesitation. It is a book that needed to be written. I have backed your book and rated it with stars.

Having worked with youth and college age students for the last 10 years, it is evident a book like this is needed in the church environment. Reality and Honesty are consistent throughout the book and I was continually engaged through the use of humor. I agree with nothowipicturedit8 that humor is used, but does not take the emphasis away from the information provided. Young girls whether single, dating, engaged, or married should read this book to learn how god created sex to be and gain some perspective for their lives.

Thank you for your words, and your dedication to young women!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you read it, even though it wasn't directed straight at you - and I'm even happier it connected in some way! Thank you for the encouragement!

Hello Amy:
I know that I am not part of the demographic to whom this book is intended, but I think it speaks life to a lot of women and illuminates a lot of lies which are fed through the popular culture.
Six stars and watchlisted.

You guessed it! This is a book directed toward the young woman who hasn't gotten a lot of experience sexually.

Was this written exclusively for female readers? What's here that would make the average semi-literate person blush? In my experience (a lot!), most people both male and female look a lot better with at least a few clothes on! Sorry, I don't get this at all...good luck anyway...

I love the humor mixed in with a topic that is usually uncomfortable to discuss! This book is very informative and insightful. It is a great resource for women to read before getting married and for women who have been married for awhile. It is a wonderful reminder of how God intended sex to be in marriage!

I really enjoyed the humorous aspect of this book without making it feel like you were making light of the subject. Sex is a very intimate thing but it can be very awkward and uncomfortable for people to ask the questions you addressed in this book so I thought that making it a little less intense without taking away from the seriousness of the topic was a great feature of the book. I definitely wouldn't consider myself naive or in the dark about this topic since I grew up in a secular home and went to public school all my life, however, seeing it from a Christian perspective allows me to put it in a whole different context and bring back the spirituality and sacredness of the act rather than the raunchy, purely sexual context it is usually addressed in. I thought this book was great and not only informative but helpful and insightful. It's always great to find perspective in new places and this is definitely a unique one. Great job :)
