Hi Martin - I've posted an adventure story, 'The Peckham Rifles', which you might be interested in.It's based on my experiences of living and travelling in Guatemala.CheersGary
You have a lot to do, the narrative jars. The sentence structure needs a lot of work. Some of the travel tales are really interesting, however to engage a reader you must acquire a friendly voice. The written words must be in their correct place so the reader can skim across the page and feel as if it is effortless while the reader absorbs what is written. Simple spelling mistakes like 'Seven instead of Severn' leaves the reader exasparated.Edit the work and listen to the critics. Remember, you kept the journal for yourself, you posted it here for ther reader.Good luck
Hi Martin - going to add this to my Watchlist as I love travel and interested to hear where you visited. Just one thing - I think you need some full stops or semi colons etc to break it up a bit, rather than commas. Some parts read that they should be a new shorter sentence. But I do like it.Mine is travel too. Nipped off to Australian alone. Kangaroo Land is the book...
