And The Organist Played Jerusalem

Ray Dexter

Murder mystery set in an English Boarding School

Charlie Foster, ex-Metropolitan Police tries to get away from the demons in his past by going to teach in the ivory towers of a traditional old English boarding school. Tragically for him his two worlds collide when a young girl is found dead one week after he arrived there and nobody seems to be taking the death seriously. Foster has to face his old demons and do the thing he was to put on this earth to do, find killers and bring them to justice, no matter how much he doesn't want to do so.

This is well written; I wish there were more although I guess it was a long enough chapter. Good details on each character and nice distinctions among them.

A highly readable style. Smooth. Very smooth. Meaning, you're a natural for the genre, and you've come up with a terrificly intriguing title too. *Just a thought about thoughts = place these in italics, since it's not a first-person narrative.

Shelved now and eager to see your cover. Best of luck with it--
