I just started reading but had to drop this comment....I love the way you starte the story giving enough background to make me like all the characters involved so far without taking away from the tension building as Colin looks for his family. The 'shocker' was really good. I also write mysteries so I really like this story. I'm going to end this now and get to the rest of the 30 chapters. Is this available on amazon Kindle?RSB view book

I like your stylr of writing. You seem to stick to the 'less is better', meaning you manage to say a lot without a lot of words. That makes for a pleasant read. Good job. Plus although I don't know much about Nero he has always been a person of interest to me so I really like that you used him as a main character.Nice.RSB view book

My thoughts as I was reading.Great opening paragraph, very Raymond Chandler. I like Raymond Chandler I am going to read on.“I don’t, I ask the right ones.” Great line!Brilliant first chapter. You do dialogue great, reflecting how people actually talk rather than the Hollywood script version.Okay I’ve read four chapters. I started this ready to comment, ready to critique (believe me I do critique – check my page for recent examples.) However I can find nothing to say about this. I just bloody loved it. I love hard boiled noir fiction, the Lew Archer series, Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler. So this was entirely my thing. I started reading and was so caught up in the story and your excellent writing that I have nothing to say to improve this. And that is the best comment of all!On my shelf and I’ll be publicizing this in the forums.
