Are You an Animal?

It puzzles me why so many people on here represent themselves through an animal avatar.

Why?

Are you so ashamed of the way you look?
Are you an animal at heart?
Are you shy?
Did your animal write the book?

In that case I was a tit. Just a baby one.

T answer your questions -

Ashamed of the way I look? Hardly.

An animal at heart? Possibly.

Shy? Not shy enough!

Did my tit write my book? That's a thought! I could blame it on the tit!
Open-mouthed Open-mouthed Open-mouthed

The baby tit flew into my open bedroom window and stood there stunned while I took about 30 photos! They came out pretty good. I thought I'd share it. Hence the bird avi.

PS - I used to be the tit till recently.

Are you so ashamed of the way you look? ------- Nope. Well... Sort of.

Are you an animal at heart? ------ Indeed I am. ROAR! Fear me!

Are you shy? ------ On one level, yes. On another, absolutely not.

Did your animal write the book? -------- Not applicable.

Personally, I like to see an image of the author, it helps me relate to the book, somehow. I sometimes wonder if the anonymous avis might belong to well-known authors trying out new work taking a different direction. Maybe JKR is posing as a cat?

It's my artwork, and yes, much more attractive than my face.
That said, I must point out that if I wasn't so unattractive, some of you people would be.
This is a stupid bully thread with no real purpose except to further embarass those who aren't pretty.
But I do like the way Nick Goulding thinks. Wink He puts humanity back into conversation on these boards.

So, famous authors hiding behind their pets - interesting.

Beauty is most definitely in the eye of the beholder, and there is no absolute truth in who is and who isn't pretty - as you put it.
