Pulling an all nighter

R.J. Blain

retired user

I have screwed my sleeping schedule something fierce, and I'm one of those people who ends up having to do an all nighter to reset it.

So, here I am. 17 hours and 20 minutes until bedtime.

I'm going to be working on a rewrite of a novel. While I'm waiting to see if a few agents want the full or a partial, I am rewriting it. I think the book is good, but I think I can make it a lot better, so I'm not going to waste the time. I'll be fitting in some of the Eye of God work too.

If you want snips of what I'm working on tonight, I'll post them! If you want to request me posting the novel if I make it to 10,000 before I go to sleep, I will, in all of its unedited glory! (I would need to write 6,000 more words today to get to that point.)

Help me stay away. Amuse me. Ask for snippets. Interact. Or something!

I leave you with this blatant plea for help in staying away for that crazy long.

Ooooh, I pull all nights from time to time to reset my schedule. I'm torn between pulling one tonight or staying up. I gotta get up at 9am. Its midnight now.

Ahhhhh, so you're on Pacific time too, eh? I get up every morning at 8: 30. That is when my one year old starts slapping my face to get up.

Rachel: It should be about your bedtime!! Smile

Shaun: It does work pretty well, doesn't it? I usually have to two or three times a year. We could keep ourselves a mused.

Tom: I'll be working on freelance around dawn before the roof installers arrive. I hope you have a great day at work when you go!

Hey! Sister!

Glad I'm not the only one who does this, I was beginning to think I was weird.

...

Of course, we could both be weird.

Entirely possible we're both weird. Once it gets really bad, I have to do a full reset or I end up sleeping in the day and being awake at night, and the spouse gets quite upset with me.

I told him I was going to do this over IM while he was at work but he was all surprised when he asked if I was ready for bed. He didn't think I was serious.
