So, I really suck at titles. And I need some help. My book changed a lot during the short time it's been on Authonomy, and I need a new title. http://www.authonomy.com/books/44443/the-land-of-mortals/ The title is up for a competition that starts today and ends on Thursday, July 26th. The prize is a spot on my shelf for at least three weeks and a thorough review (if you want it). If I already commented on your book, I'll comment on next chapters. Posted: 22/07/2012 09:09:02

Your long pitch is kind of hard to follow, not in a bad way, but there's a lot to take in. You have an original character name (Rotten Dog), one which I'd consider using. Off the top of my head - Rotten Dog & Hell's Inferno, maybe? Or The Circles of Inferno? You want something that's catchy and not derivative . . . How will you decide which title works best? I have a co-author, and together we'll debate on the originality and unique sound of the title. Supernatural, fantasy and paranormal genres are exploding these days, so I don't want to be banal. I was thinking about variations on circles, Inferno and all that, but it'll probably send the reader in the wrong direction. Using Rotten Dog in some context might be a good idea. I'll think about it. Posted: 22/07/2012 13:06:59
