It's kind of annoying that when you quote someone you can't view and edit the text you're responding to. Particularly if it's a 5,000 word post and you only one to respond to one or two lines.

You can copy and paste the quote and into your reply and strip out the lines you don't want.

Yeah, I just need to relearn how to format it so it stands out from my own reply. Did you open this thread because it was flagged as a new post but then there was nothing in it?

I found this out by accident. I deleted a post that didn't work and it still kept my name and the date of last post in the thread properties.

The forums interface sucks to be honest. It needs a rebuild, and hopefully will get one. For now, if it's something that bothers you, then the copy/paste option is probably best.
