If I lose one more hacker I will cry. I don't know what happened, but I lost 6 backers. I was expecting this to happen at some point, just not so fast

I'm grieving over dropping, but I am genuinely surprised I go this far. I did lose two backers after someone mentioned I had a sock and I put on my ABOUT ME that I did not want socks. But, it's still a bummer to see my rank dropping.

I had a recent drop myself, and so did most of the books on my shelf. I think maybe a few people are either rotating their picks to give other books a chance, or there are a few angry socks 1-starring the forum people they don't like. But then again, I'm always a conspiracy theorist.

Yes, I have improved it! I LOVE Authonomy for that reason. But, i don't know why anyone would 1-star me for disliking me. I've never had a conflict with anyone.

As PIH said Rach, people are rotating their shelves. Don't worry about it. You know the ED is not the Big Thing. Try to see autho as a free editing suite with people instead of algorithms. That's all. I had to take PIH's book down for a bit, but these things go around and come around. Just keep backing what YOU like, and writing the best you can be. That's all anyone can ask

It happens. You get used to it.

I lost a backer today I'd had for 4 months - that made me a little sad, but I was very grateful to him for the long term support.

One starring or even worse, 2-starring, has no effect on your rank so don't worry about it. Three people constantly low star me. I know who they are & why they do it but it's their problem, not mine.

Correction - 2 backers today.
