This week has seen another bout of inappropriate behaviour on the authonomy forums. Accusations of bullying and ‘trolling’ have been particularly rife.

Once again, authonomy would like to remind users that the forums are provided as a platform to discuss books and writing tips, as well as to generally chat with other likeminded users and make friends! If you have a disagreement with someone, avoid entering into a conversation with them. If your account is closed, please refrain from rejoining under another guise. For a number of reasons, we do not block IP addresses. But, all duplicate accounts will be deleted without warning.

Petty arguments on the forums are increasingly masking the great content that is on the site. If you are not interested in these quality books, and will not conform to the guidelines of site use, we request you close your account and take your conversations elsewhere.

Once again, this is an adult site with some truly exceptional writing talents in its midst, we hope that users will recognise this and act accordingly.

But the 2 people trolling haven't got books posted and have retired their accounts so they don't have any deterrent to stop if you aren't going to ban IP addresses.

How about deleting the accounts of those who encourage them? That would stop all the nonsense very quickly. Otherwise this is just going to continue and continue with new trolls being created everyday by those who have nothing to lose and nothing invested in this site. About 10 people enjoy interacting with the aggressive, spiteful trolls and clap them on to further heights of abuse. The other 4,000 users just find it a crushing bore.
