Hm. Not so awesome actually. The threads I saved didn't really have any numbers. Back to the populace on this one. close quotes

I don't know why I bothered asking, really. It's a pretty simple formula:

Book people will love + networking skills + luck = success

Well I have no shame, so I'll come clean. Let's see if I've got the math right:

!) Number of books self-published: 1 (Tanil)
2)Number of copies sold: 16 (15 ebooks through Amazon and Smashwords and 1 paperback through Createspace)
3)Total income: $7.93 (USD)

Mind you, that's with little to no advertising, pushing my book, spamming, and all those other vital things you need to make your book one of the most ignored -- er, I mean, beloved indie writings. Man, for someone who claims to have no shame I'm not much of a salesperson.Embarrassed I'm sure other people on here have much better numbers than this.

Thanks for sharing your info! Feel free to post a link to your book as well! =) You should advertise whenever you can!

No print-on-demand?

Do most of your sales come from your own promotional efforts, or do you get a lot of sales that come from nowhere?

This has been with no promotional effort whats-so-ever because I've been too busy with the rest of my life and this other book.

This one I self-pubbed on a whim. When the complete manuscripts is edited more thoroughly then I am considering print on demand and making my connections and networking start putting the feet on it.
