Kia ora all - welcome to the continuation of the previous YARG thread, YARG II. We are sworn to sail the seven seas, read great books along the way, and protect our M&Ms with our lives!
If you're a writer of a YA book, step aboard for insightful feedback, advice, support and great reads! You can also join as a reader/reviewer if you haven't written in the genre but enjoy reading at the YA level.
How it works: read the books on the list and give the writers honest feedback using the acronym YARG at the top of the review. Feel free to rate and back, but it's not obligatory. If you want to join, click to the last page of this thread and post the link to your book.
Use this format: your name, title and copy and paste the address of your book (http://www.authonomy.com/books/vxxxxxxxx)
Keep us informed on the books you review - please don't post reviews on this thread. Brief positive comments are fine. We want at least one review a month -at the end of the month I will do a tally and those who don't review will walk the plank! Brand-new members are exempt from this for the first month, but after that, YARG or prepare to be planked! Please only review books on the list--you are welcome to invite other authors to join the thread, but until they do, reviewing their book doesn't count as a YARG review.
In reviews, try to give the YARGer a few pointers or constructive advice about their book, especially with the YA readership in mind. This is important because:
a) It gives the writer fresh perspective and ultimately leads to a better final product.
b) It shows that you read beyond the existing comments on that book.
c) It enhances the reputation of YARG as a meeting point for great YA books AND insightful reviewers.
Haere Mai! Welcome aboard!

I go offline for two days and when I come back everything has changed!
Do we still review with YARG or YARG II?
PS: I got to leave the first comment... I'm so irrationally proud about that. =D Posted: 09/02/2012 15:26:14Last Edit: 09/02/2012 15:28:35 by Karen Dillon
Post on YARG II. Kaal has handed me the captain's hat, and I was told to start a new thread with me as Captain.
Lucky you! I love leaving first comments (though I rarely do)! Posted: 09/02/2012 15:33:46
