I think Leon the point about a lot of the Flash Fiction is that it is more of a writing exercise for many of us. I know I'm not the only one who doesn't write until Lilian says submit and so what comes onto the site is very, basic. That said I have found that quite often these little pieces have gone on to become some of my better shorts and without Flash Fiction Friday I would never really have got into short stories in the first place and now it is one of my greatest pleasures and most rewarding in real terms - shortbread biscuit anyone, I got a hamper full as part of my last prize!!

Yes, plagiarism is a very serious subject but I hope that we are able to trust each other, if we can't the whole edifice will crumble. I do hope that you are over your distress now and look forward to seeing a piece from you next week. - Cheers - XXXXX

OK, we've had very few votes this week - I'll close the voting in about an hour as I'm a bit preoccupied now.

Last chance, people!Smile

Voting is now closed. We have a winner!

Congratulations to Tillerman for his "Wash Day", and well done to all our other contenders.

Next time we'll have a theme contest.

The theme will be: "Growing" - to be interpreted in any way you choose, any genre. 1000 words or thereabouts.
I'll post the thread on Thursday as usual for entries and a reminder about the theme will go up tomorrow.

I did note the plagiarism but I just took it as a great compliment that the author of a book that is a perfect mix of horror and comedy has stolen my humble offering Wink Tongue out
