Is there no way to turn off the notice that you have published a book when, in fact, you haven't? If there isn't a way, why not? Posted: 02/05/2012 08:39:48
I've emailed Authonomy about it. Posted: 02/05/2012 09:02:22

What notice? I wasn't aware there was that facility. If a book has been published most people add a link to it, eg, to Amazon, Smashwords, Lulu. All I see on your page is a link to a blog. Posted: 02/05/2012 09:18:23Last Edit: 02/05/2012 09:19:54 by NMott

If you uploaded a book here and made it public, it will show up in your friends' newsfeeds and also on the 'latest books' list. And it will appear on your profile page. If you then made it private, there is no notice but it will not appear on your profile (and it isn't there). Don't stress about it. edit: Just looked at your profile and saw you are editing it. All the best. Posted: 02/05/2012 10:15:33Last Edit: 02/05/2012 10:18:01 by Spilota
@Spilota, thanks. @NMott and Spilota, even if you keep your book private it displays a message to all the people on your friends list that you have published it. If you update it while it is public no further notices are sent, but if you update it while it is private, a notice is sent each time you complete the update process. Posted: 03/05/2012 10:12:26
Yes, that's why I don't accept friends requests; it clutters up with message feed. Posted: 03/05/2012 20:48:54
