I would like it, if instead of "sock puppets" or "socks" , people said "bras" or "vests" or "pants".

Exactly, it would loads better!

I mean, the term "meat puppets" sounds like some sort of fancy device anyway, so why not just say "sausage fingers"

My mate had fingers like that but he was always on the sunbed so they looked like tomato sausages.
