Martin Cosgrove's Cosy Corner

Hello there! Come on over and have a seat -- I recommend the beanbags unless you have a bad back, in which case that armchair over there is free. Help yourself to coffee or tea and a biscuit. Yes, a biscuit. I'm British, deal with it.

My name's Martin and I'm a part-time school teacher and a every-waking-second writer. I just recently published my first novel, The Destiny of Ethan King, to the Kindle store which is both thrilling and terrifying. The act of publishing, I mean. Not the book itself. The book itself is a contemporary fantasy story set in Britain about a teenager who discovers he is the only person in the world capable of creating a mystical substance which could either end humanity's problems or destroy us all.

You can read the first five chapters here: http://www.authonomy.com/books/43992/the-destiny-of-ethan-king/

I'm currently working on the sequel to TDoEK and am loving every second of writing it.

Listen to me rambling. Tell me about yourself. No, don't worry about the biscuit crumbs, they feed the Creativity Goblin who lives under the floorboards.

Oh I like your avi, Martin... looks like something I'd have etched into clay in a former life.

Glad you like it, Sandie. A friend of mine actually drew it for me to use as chapter art in my novel. Funny you should mention former lives -- reincarnation is one of the themes of my book. Are you psychic?

Yes, I'm of witchy descent! Born on Pendle Hill, home of the Lancashire witches.

Hi Martin,
Welcome to Authonomy! Can I grab the shortbread, ta. Nice of you to light the fire, so miserable out there. Unusual pitch for a book you have. I'll take a beanbag over to the corner and have a mooch at 'The Destiny of Ethan King' as soon as I can.
Damn, those goblins bite!

Best wishes,
Nick
