Her life becomes complicated when bodies start showing up at the morgue with Maggie’s name literally attached to the victims. A sassy, somewhat cynical, fumbling detective wannabe, Maggie is starting her own detective agency to the exasperation of the Dallas police department. During the day she works for the Dallas County morgue as a frustrated Clinical Lab Scientist and in the evenings, she is either tracking cheating husbands or sidelining as a freelance photographer for the Dallas Criminal Investigations Division. While investigating an enormous child abduction ring, Maggie finds herself being stalked by a vigilante looking to recover his missing daughters and avenge his wife’s murder. Unintentionally, she also becomes the target of a serial killer. Will Cotton Candy, an exotic dancer who is one of Maggie’s favorite snitches, convince the police that Maggie has been abducted by the Ladyslasher before her body joins the others at the morgue?
