I've been amazed at the standard of children's books on here.
Favourites so far are
Mr Unusually's Circus of Dreams by Sharda Dean
The Princess and the Peach by Benedict Brown
Speedy McReady by Debbie Roxborough
and Jinger Barley and the Murkle Moon by Lucy Middlemass

Thanks Neil. I heartily recommend all of those. And some of the nicest Authonomites amongst them!

I am intrigued by Lucy's Jinger Barley. She's a very strong writer, imo.

Yet, she begins a children's book without the introduction of a child protagonist? A very bold move. I can hear the marketing departments collectively shouting "What, what, what?!!" at the very notion.

Yet, maybe she could pull it off?

I'd be very interested to see how HC's crit on this book would read. As soon as a spot on my shelf opens up, I think I'll back it.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, Neil.
