47 Murders + 180 sock puppets

I'd love you all, dear authonomy, to take a look at WHO is backing this book:

http://www.authonomy.com/books/44256/47-murders/

It's clear the guy toiled hard creating so many sock puppets all these years, and now he's pushing the book towards the editor's desk.

I wonder if it's fair to the those writers who spent hours, days and months trying to reach the desk.

Any thoughts?

Yep. My thought is, why would anyone give a shit? <nolink>close quotes</nolink>

I think the 94 writers positioned before 47 M think differently!

Probably. Some people think there's a god. Doesn't answer my question.

You used to back the book but not anymore. So you thought it was good but now it isn't?

The beginning was good, but why back a loser who can't do it the proper way, huh?

I read the first chapter and found the subject matter distasteful. Skimmed through a couple of others and found more of the same. Ergh. I would never buy it, so won't back it.

I did look at some of the many faceless backers – no avis, no friends, no books, no messages or comments, and just that one book on their shelves. Clearly getting to the ED is of paramount importance to the author. But from what I've seen, that prize is meaningless.

As I wrote in my coment, the HC review will be interesting.

* waves to Dai * Nice to see the dead man back. Smile

Back books if you like them, don't if you don't. Why let playground politics get in the way?

The whole point is that being here has no meaning and no value. If he can write, he could probably get his book published anyway. This is a playground to keep wannabes off publishers' backs. Cheat or play fair, the whole process is just an illusion.

I tend to think that only reading people's books if they read yours is equally ludicrous, but it seems the norm.

Ho hum
