Hello. How are you? I would appreciate to switch comments and feedback with you! Would you be able to do the same? If you want to read the rest of the book....it is finished and on Kindle and paperback on Amazon.com. Proceeds are going to mental health facilities and burn survivors. Would you support? I am so blessed to be able to help others with my story. I hope I will be able to stop even just one person from doing something drastic like I did. I will put your book on my wl and comment:)God bless!Bethany.

Hi Donna.

How are you? Hope you are well, my friend.

It's been awhile and I just wanted to check on you and your book. What's the latest on publishing it? Also, I want to thank again for telling Ashley about my biography about Taylor. I have taken Ashley's suggestions and writing some new chapters for the book. But it will not be uploaded for awhile since I'm so busy with school and all. Just curious but how does Ashley know Taylor? Does she work at her record label?

hope you are well.

Best wishes,
Chipper Newman

Donna,
You might want to click on www.scribd.com/dloganw whereby David Welch interviews me regarding the North Korean situation in "Nuts in the North." This could be a good venue for your book to get Twitter exposure.

Donna,

A while ago, you commented on my first book, “Orphan of Greenwich Village.” Recently I have posted the sequel to that book, titled “Children of Greenwich Village.” I’d greatly appreciate it if you would look at this new book, comment on it and rate it as you see fit.

Incidentally, since you looked at “Orphan of Greenwich Village,” I have edited and reposted the book. So if you have a chance, I’d appreciate it if you could take another look at “Orphan” as well.

Regards,
Matt

Donna!!! This is it! The grand finale, the grand push!! After much hard work, and with YOUR much appreciated support, WE’VE broke through and entered the Teens!!!
In appreciation for all your sincere, honest help, I am posting the ENTIRE book, including the epilogue!!! You can now read how Jessup saves the day, and you’ll find out who he decided to live with when he went before the judge. You won’t want to miss the ending! I welcome you to read the last chapters (12, 13, and the Epilogue), and please help me hone these last chapters and get them ready for the desk. I am looking forward to your comments and continued support. Any help you can offer would be humbly appreciated to get me to the desk!

Evening

I was hoping you might be interested in checking out my book Un Thai. Its a very emotional book that I want to share with as many people as possible. Its very important to me and would mean a lot if you could look into it.

I would really appreciate it.

Thanks so much for your time. If you'd like to swap reads, please let me know. I'm looking forward to reading your works as well. I usually leave wordy critiques due to the importance of supporting other authors, so don't be shy in sharing your creation with me.

With Love & Best Wishes,

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to say “Thank You!” to everyone who helped get Old Number Seven to the desk this month. When I originally came to Authonomy three years ago, I thought my novel was pretty good. But all of you helped me out in ways both big and small, and that enabled me to make very effective rewrites. I hardly recognize the book today compared to what it was back then. I’m grateful beyond words as I offer up ON7 to the Authonomy gods for review. If HC ends up publishing it, all of you are in some way responsible. I hope you see it as our victory. I know I do.

As you fly away to help other deserving authors, I would like to humbly suggest that you read over a few of my favorites. If you enjoyed Old Number Seven, I think you will like these as well.

The Fortune of Annacara by Kay Christine Fenton is a hauntingly beautiful historical tale of love, loss and hardship on the American Frontier. Fenton has the ability to bring readers right down into the heart of her dusty world. One of the best! http://authonomy.com/books/652/the-fortune-of-annacara/

The Cross of Goa by Laurence Howard is a religious-themed thriller that will surly give The Da Vinci Code a thrashing. http://authonomy.com/books/16306/the-cross-of-goa/

Last Tango for Che by Elina Castro Almeyra is a true story set in the hotbed of revolutionary Argentina by a woman who has seen it all. http://authonomy.com/books/33945/last-tango-for-che/

Snow Bound by Justis Call is a psychological thriller featuring a main character as unique as the book’s author. It’s hard to describe, but easy to love. http://authonomy.com/books/31436/snow-bound/

Last but not least, Tales from the Top by Toppy gives a dog’s eye view of the world. One of the cleverest animal-centered books I’ve read, you’ll love this one from nose to tail. http://authonomy.com/books/32444/tales-from-the-top/

Keep in touch, my friends. I wish you all every success.

Kind Regards,

Hi there
Please forgive me for pestering you again. Only there are two things I need to tell you.
First, I’ve added another story to my mini-series (Time Machine Takeaway).
Secondly, doing this, I’ve accidently erased my watch list and my book shelf, which is a real shame.
I didn’t know that if you go under 10,000 words, you information (book shelf/watch list) will be erased. : (
If you were a backer, could you find it in your heart to put me back on the shelf, or watch list, whichever the case may be?
Thank you
Regards
David

Oh my - I'm so jealous! The Caribbean? I hope you've been having the time of your life :)
I'm still way behind you in the process, only one submission and rejection so far - lol - but it is disheartening, no ?

I had another look at the review from HC, and at first glance it does seem to be a bit heavy on the criticism, but then I had a think....

Basically they seem to be wanting more social/political background, mostly surrounding Mama and Tati. I don't know if you've ever noticed or will agree, but I've found that sometimes when a reviewer asks for more this or that, even just a small change can do the trick.

I had something similar in a review, and just the addition of one sentence and taking out another seemed to change the way they viewed the entire thing...

HC sound like they are suggesting a big rewrite on No Kiss, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if some fairly small tweaks would provide the extra 'depth' they say they want.

Sorry - that was a ramble - but the short version is, keep at it! You have a gem waiting to be discovered. I hope that agent you mentioned sees it too.
Anyways, thanks so much for replying - it's lovely to chat and see what life after 'desk' is like :0
much love,
Kim

Hi Donna
Recently I’ve published a short story to authonomy.
I’ve never written a piece like this before, so I’ve no idea if it works, or not. I think the idea is good enough, and I think that becomes apparent as the story unfolds.
It’s only just over three thousand words long, so maybe comes it under the ‘micro story’ category.
Maybe you could give it the once over?
Thanks for your time
All the best

Hi Donna,
Haven't chatted in ages, but you suddenly popped into my mind today :) I'm dead curious to know how your journey with No Kiss Goodbye has gone since you made the desk, and how sales are going?
I remember you were one of the very first people to leave me a comment back in July '12 - you were so very kind and encouraging - and you were one of the first books I shelved. If you do get a chance to pop back past my MS, I'd love to hear from you. I'm amazed by how much I've learnt these last months - and still madly editing :)
bye for now
xx

I really admire your philosophy on life. I don't think you've ever previewed my book and I respect your reviews for their honesty. Have you had the chance to notice THE CELESTIAL PROPOSAL? I'd be honoured it you took a look at it and let me know what you think. So glad to see you made it to the top. Is it being published and where can I get it at?
Best regards, Jane Catherine

Donna,

You supported my book a year ago, and gave me a bunch of stars. I am going to try for the editor's desk this month and would really appreciate a boost, if you could put me back on your watchlist, or if you could put me on your shelf for a month. I'd be greatly indebted to you, and would do anything you needed from me in return. And if you have a friend or two that you could please ask to read, and watchlist too, would be awesome!!! THank you for your support, and believing in Jessup and the Teleporter!

Sincerely,

Donna
