Hi Michel,

You previously commented on my novel Mute. I recently posted Famous After Death and I'm looking for feedback.

The story:

Everything else has gone viral, so why not murder? Three Miami teenagers turn victims into web celebrities.

Let me know if I could help you with something.

Best regards,

"The Prince and the Singularity – A Circular Tale" is a book with one big advantage, one only needs to read the first 40 lines to know whether one is going to like the story or not. If after the first 40 lines you're not hooked, no need to bother reading the rest.

There is now a real chance I will be among the top 5 at the end of next month...

To make it to the Desk will mean much more to me than the accolade, it will be a vindication of a lifetime's struggle!

Hi Michel,
I’ve just posted my new book Stop the Insanity. It is a manifesto for those of us who are fed up with our dysfunctional Congress and would like to do something about it. I’ve put down my ideas on how we can cause a change along with descriptions of some of the things I believe need to be changed.

I would really like to hear what you think about my ideas. No problem if you disagree but please let me know why and what you would do instead.

Of course many Authonomy members are not American and/or don’t care about American politics. For you I have put in two bonus sections, written summaries of two very expensive seminars I attended to learn more about marketing and selling books, particularly for those who self publish. I think these two sections, chapters 11 and 12, will be of interest to all.

I am looking forward to hearing what you think.

Sincerely,

David Welch/dloganw

Hi, Michel--are hubs and the kid eating now?? We need an update on your publishing success. Also--my daughter just returned from Duluth and says it's the coolest place on earth. Is this true??

I’m writing to you because you are one of the wonderful people who backed Marita Hansen’s book Graffiti Heaven on its way to the desk.

I wonder if you would like to have a look at my novel? It covers similar territory: teenagers who face bullying as they build a relationship with a new love. Marita classified hers as edgy YA; mine is Christian YA because the two teens rely on their faith as they cope with the final act of the bullies.

I return all reads.

No worries if you don’t read Christian books.

Hi Michael,

In your comments last year, you said you enjoyed my novel Mute. Great news! Now Silver Leaf Books has released it on Amazon Kindle.

A refresher about the story:

A detective’s love for an orphaned girl witness has her turning a blind eye to evidence that could stop a wave of unnatural murders.

Now you can read to the thrilling ending. Check it out:

To show my appreciation for authors like you who helped me along the way, I listed by favorite Authonomy books on my blog:

I hope you enjoy my work. If you ever need my input, just drop me a line.

Hey there, Michel. I'm pretty sure you commented on and/or backed my book BOT--thank you once again!--my newest work ‘THE CASE OF THE DROWNING MEN, Investigating the Smiley Face Serial Murder Theory’ is classified under True Crime>Serial Killers.

CRIME MAGAZINE, a leading resource for followers of true crime, will be featuring this title the first week of July 2012, but I’ve also just uploaded it here on Authonomy to gauge readers’ reaction to the subject matter. It’s live now @ http://www.authonomy.com/books/45384/the-case-of-the-drowning-men/read-book/ - chapter

*Of course, Authonomy can’t accommodate image files as yet and this is an illustrated publication, so, if you’d like to also preview the fully-illustrated edition of THE CASE OF THE DROWNING MEN online, just visit Amazon-US @ http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0089HD4A4 or Amazon-UK @ http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0089HD4A4 (Pretty sure the free download there is comprehensive)

Kind regards to you—

Hey there :)
Thank you again for your past critique of “The Marvelous Shattering”. I recently uploaded the first few chapters of the new draft of it, under the title “Stains”. I was hoping that you wouldn’t mind taking a look at it, and maybe re-adding it to your bookshelf since I lost all my ranking when the last draft was removed. I would really appreciate it, and would be happy to look at something of yours in return.

Zuffles wrote 343 days ago

Hi there – sorry to bother but I am seriously seeking some advice.

My name is Craig Zerf and I currently have 2 books with my agent, Ian Drury of Sheil Land agencies. The first novel that Ian accepted was not taken up by any publishers despite having been very favourably reviewed by 2 best selling authors; Michael Marshall (The Straw Men, The Intruders, The Lonely Dead) who said that it was one of the best books that he had read in recent years, and Meg Rosoff (How I Live Now, Just In Case) who said "I think that you are a fantastic writer. The story is tragic and blood-curdling and extraordinary."

It’s very frustrating so I have opted to put it out here and try my hardest to get some unbiased advice. I would really appreciate it if you could take a look at my script (or even just the first chapter or so) and tell me what you think. Thanks ever so much – Craig (Zuffles).

THE BROKEN MEN - The year is 1980 and South Africa stands on the brink of collapse as the hatred & turmoil of Apartheid politics tear apart its very structure. The white Afrikaner controlled government struggles to maintain control as internal strife rises and indiscriminate bombings become an almost daily occurrence. Every white male between the ages of sixteen and sixty-five is deemed eligible for conscription & forced into the military, regardless of their political beliefs. The war becomes one of attrition as it eats away at the fabric of society. Both sides become so inured to death and aggression that violence becomes a normal way of life. In this maelstrom of Apartheid, two young boyhood friends, Leon and Pete, grow up to become the most deadly enemies. Together they are drawn into a path of brutality and death that spans the oceans from Southern Africa to the United Kingdom. The death of a way of life. The death of a country. And the birth of a new nation.

Cas Greenfield: writer, broadcaster, musician, artist

Hi there - just extending the ink-stained hand of friendship.

I've been on-site for a little while now, and I've found it to be an extremely constructive and rewarding experience. The range of writing and subjects available here seems to cover a broad spectrum of styles and ability, but it does pay to have a thick skin - some of those critics can be pretty fierce!

Backing books, making friends, commenting where you can – that seems to be the way to raise the profile, so here I am.

I'm usually around, so it would be fantastic to hear from you.

Anyway, happy writing, reading or whatever it is you do...

All the best, have a great day – Cas

PS: If you do happen to get the uncontrollable urge to look at either of my books, here are the links

http://authonomy.com/books/42586/slow-poison/
http://www.authonomy.com/books/42590/bloodstones/

Slow Poison is dark and brutal, Bloodstones is a gentler read, but gets tougher as the story progresses. A little like Larsson, Welsh, Niffenegger I have been told. (…but I haven’t read any of their work yet…so you’ll have to be the judge of that…)

www.casimirgreenfield.com

Warning: both of my books contain explicit sexual acts, frequent swearing and disturbing scenes of violence. Please do not read if you are of a sensitive nature or under age in your territory.

My pleasure, I'm uploading my video to utube as we speak so I'll send you the link.
I'd love to do an interview with you.
I'm a little uncertain as to what is happening with Night, so not sure if it will be published by them. But if it all goes to pot, I'll submit to both yours and Tricia's publisher. She did recommend it a while ago. Not sure how I'll going seeing as its set in England and not America. But I can but try.
Oh, it just finished uploading, heres the link.
Cheers and keep in touch, I'd love to know how you go.
