Dear Peto, I see you are one of the top talent spotters on this site and felt you might want to look at my book THE EVOLUTION OF ETERNITY, and hopefully leave a comment and back it. As someone commented, “I've never read a book like this before, but it's very fascinating!” Here is the link to the book: http://www.authonomy.com/books/41044/the-evolution-of-eternity/. I hope to hear from you. Thanks and blessings always.

Hi there – sorry to bother but I am seriously seeking some advice.

My name is Craig Zerf and I currently have 2 books with my agent, Ian Drury of Sheil Land agencies. The first novel that Ian accepted was not taken up by any publishers despite having been very favourably reviewed by 2 best selling authors; Michael Marshall (The Straw Men, The Intruders, The Lonely Dead) who said that it was one of the best books that he had read in recent years, and Meg Rosoff (How I Live Now, Just In Case) who said "I think that you are a fantastic writer. The story is tragic and blood-curdling and extraordinary."

It’s very frustrating so I have opted to put it out here and try my hardest to get some unbiased advice. I would really appreciate it if you could take a look at my script (or even just the first chapter or so) and tell me what you think. Thanks ever so much – Craig (Zuffles).

THE BROKEN MEN - The year is 1980 and South Africa stands on the brink of collapse as the hatred & turmoil of Apartheid politics tear apart its very structure. The white Afrikaner controlled government struggles to maintain control as internal strife rises and indiscriminate bombings become an almost daily occurrence. Every white male between the ages of sixteen and sixty-five is deemed eligible for conscription & forced into the military, regardless of their political beliefs. The war becomes one of attrition as it eats away at the fabric of society. Both sides become so inured to death and aggression that violence becomes a normal way of life. In this maelstrom of Apartheid, two young boyhood friends, Leon and Pete, grow up to become the most deadly enemies. Together they are drawn into a path of brutality and death that spans the oceans from Southern Africa to the United Kingdom. The death of a way of life. The death of a country. And the birth of a new nation.

Could I interest you in taking a look at my novel, A Shamrock On The Verandah? It's the story of Bridget Flannigan, an Irish immigrant living in a small Kansas town at the end of the 19th century. Follow her as she finds romance and experiences the challenges of life in a frontier hotel.

Dear Peto,
Mrs Maginnes is Dead is a comic murder mystery set in Edinburgh and featuring a dead landlady, a homicidal goat, byzantine gold, five certifiable sisters trying to get their hands on said gold, the spirit of Elvis, a bereft student tenant whose sole ambition is to learn to sing like said spirit, A gypsy trying to speak to the spirit of the aforementioned landlady and the aforementioned King, a valourous detective trying to put a stop all this nonsense, true love, and a purple and pink plaid couch.
It has driven many authonomites to fits of hysterical laughter. It is currently ranked in the top ten, and I am shamelessly seeking support to keep it there.
Won't you please have a look?
Best,
Maeve

Trusting, peto, that you're not as repulsive as your portrait, I'm writing to introduce "The Doctor of Summitville," a novel you should like, judging from the impressive array on your shelf. Mine is a love story exploring the strengths and limitations of medical practice around 1930 as a young doctor risks his life and career to free an immigrant orphan girl from bondage to her abusive uncle. I'd welcome comments, but at this point I'm mainly interested in keeping my book on the editors' desk while it gets its long-sought review. I hope you'll find it deserves a place among your keen selection. --Best wishes, Bill

Hi there! I'm just making my rounds and trying to create awareness for my book. The Echoes is a YA fantasy (without dragons, half naked women, and wizards though) So if you like that kind of fantasy than I am sorry :P

It'd be great to get any feedback/suggestions/helpful hints/support. Please rate and send me a message so we can swap reads if needed!

Thanks!

Peto,
On second thought, I'm going to report you to the authorities (or the executives of HarperCollins) because you definitely don't look normal, and may even pose a threat to human civilization. You certainly don't look like any writers I know, and if someone that looked like you tried to join my writing salon, I would grab a can of Raid and put you out of your misery.
You are one ugly dude...now scat!!!

To Peto:
There are a lot of wierd-looking people on Authonomy, but let me tell you something, on your good days you're one sorry-looking piece of mucus. And that was being generous. I hope I never have to share an elevator with you. Stay away from my kids or I'll call 911.
Yich!!!
