Hello Elina,

Hope you are well. Maybe you would like to try out my new satire, Doghouse Blues. Happy to reciprocate with a swap read. Here is an endorsement:

I was attracted to Doghouse Blues from the pitch alone because it was so very different. There are so many budding writers out there who want to earn the same sort of money as J K Rowling by writing exactly the same kind of book and , to be frank, I am getting a bit tired of it.
This, on the other hand, struck me as being an original piece of work. The product of a lively mind and written by someone who is an excellent observer of the real world out there and who knows how to translate his observations into print. Just the right amount of dialogue, which carries the story along well.
I have not read the complete book (yet) but have dipped into it fairly freely to see if the momentum is maintained. It certainly is.
Philip John

Looking forward to reading your comments on the Doghouse Blues webpage.

All the best,

Clive

Hi Elina,

My novel, Discoredia, is currently sitting in the top 20, and I would love to push on even further to hopefully reach the desk in the not too distant future.

With that in mind I would be extremely grateful if you could spare a moment of your time to take a look at, and rate, Discoredia, and should you wish to comment upon it your thoughts would be welcome.

Even if you don't have time to look straight away just adding me to your watchlist would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

James

Hi Elina

Thanks so much for your lovely comment and I'm sorry to leave you dangling at the end! The manuscript for Coffee at Kowalski's on Authonomy is how it was when it was taken on by Avon, so the printed version that became Fairytale of New York has a lot more scenes in it and lots of lovely extras, so hopefully it will be worth the wait! Thank you for buying the book - I'm so glad you loved the story!

Brightest wishes

Miranda xx

Elina. Thanks so much for your message. I had all but given up on "Make Cake Not War" (and pretty much on writing...), so it was lovely to get your comment. I intend to start writing something else in September and throw myself into it (and this whole Authonomy lark - which is practically a full time job in itself) wholeheartedly. You have really cheered me up. Thank you.

Hi, Elina. With the new month comes changes in shelves, so I'm messaging you about my book "Graffiti Heaven." It's set in New Zealand and follows the lives of a group of young people dealing with love, family, and tragedy. If you have time to check it out and deem it worthy of your shelf I'd greatly appreciate it as I'm planning on self-publishing it in August, and would love to get some editing tips from Harper Collins. Thank you for your time, Marita.

Hello Ms. Lear,

Adulterous alcoholic substance-abusing schizophrenic author/academic/columnist Brendan Dogge has an unusual problem: he keeps killing his closest friends. As "An Unfinished Innocence" opens, he is up to 2.5 victims and wondering how he can avoid making that three.

"An Unfinished Innocence" explores Dogge's strangely comic search for redemption.

My online excerpt shows how Dogge notches up his half-victim, and his relationship with a singular dancer. There is also a scene from a later chapter showing his hospitalization in a psychiatric ward--told largely from the perspective of an afflicted mind--a look at that world from someone who's been there.

The prose is energetic, poetic. The ideas come fast and furious. You just might laugh!

Hi there - I was fascinated by your profile. I'm hoping you might be my Authonomy friend.

I'm new to the site, and I'm finding it a stimulating and rewarding place to be.

If you have the chance to look at my work I hope you'll be curious. If you are able to back one of the books by adding it to your bookshelf, I may even continue my slow climb up the lists.

If there's anything I can offer, please ask.

And, of course, all feedback welcome. My skin is thick.

Hope to hear from you sometime,

Cas

Dear Elina my book "Not for Sale" has reached at # 24 in just two months and is going upward. I will be thankful to you if you can give it a place on your shelf for some days. 3 out of Top 5 Talent Spotters are backing the book. With your help the book can make it to ED's Desk this month.

Best Wishes

2: Thou shalt not place ones book on one’s own shelf.
3: Thou shall offer honest critique and not false praise.
4: Thou shalt not use the star rating system to punish enemies.
5: Thou shalt not create fake accounts for the purposes of insulting your fellow authors, backing your book, or talking to yourself.
6: Thou shalt not spam your fellow authors, or ask for backings and reads if thou are unwilling to read their book first.
7: Thou shall use this site to network and improve their craft

Well technically, I am willing to swap reads, so perhaps I am in the clear. Yet, make no mistake, this is me spamming you in hopes that you will consider commenting on, or backing my novel.

I thank you for your consideration.

Hello Elina,

I’ve been on this site for the last few months. I randomly select interesting titles and read the first few chapters, if not the entire book. I don’t comment on other’s work al that often, but if I like something I’ll just straight out back it up 100%, without expecting anything in return.

But now, I’ve decided to really make an effort to entice other people to read my work. It’s been a work in progress for many years. I’ve edited and revised the manuscript over and over again. I want to start tackling agents soon, but I need more feedback before I do so.

So, if you would grant me the honor of taking a look at my work and commenting, I would be happy to do the same for you.

RUNNING AWAY FROM CRAZY needs commentary, and I would be happy to do the same for you. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it is based on a true story.

Okay now, this is a special plea to just my personal friends here on Authonomy. Iv'e reached #22 in the rankings. This is where I need that extra push from you guys. Could you PLEASE place me on your shelf for just this coming week and if you truly enjoyed my book, I need some 6 stars. There are some on here who are purposely giving me 1 star ratings in attemp to keep me from progressing. Please pray for them, as I do. Alot of you still have me on your watch list, which isn't doing me any good. At least leave me a comment if you can't find space on your shelf. Be a blessing and help me out. Sincerely David Ware. I won't forget the favor.

Hi Emma,
Hope you're well. Yesterday, Isabel left this great review for Parabolic, my book which is currently residing at mid 50's in the chart:-

What a brilliant read!
It's funny, realistic, thought-provoking, and so incredibly touching. Your characters are likeable and believable - there really isn't much to criticise here apart from the odd typing error: one that jumped out at me was in a hospital flashback scene when "it's" was used as possessive, rather than its. Parabolic is the kind of book I can imagine coming across in a shop. I can see this flying through the ranks - it's going on my bookshelf and will surely appeal to many people.
Best wishes, Isabel.

If you'd like to check out the prologue, have a read here http://www.authonomy.com/books/35255/parabolic/read-book/#chapter

Many thanks,

Harry x
