I’m very sorry if I’ve previously messaged you, but I’ve had one of those glitches that wipes out backers and watchlists. I lost nearly 60 backers and over 100 watchlists and can’t find most of my old backers as they backed me over 2 months ago and the RSS feeds don’t go back that far..

If I was on your watchlist or if you backed me before I would greatly appreciate your support again for - The Lunatic Sings - or if you’d take a look at it if it’s new to you.

THE LUNATIC SINGS

- "like a William S. Burroughs novel with a point"

- "Deftly imitating waves of consciousness"

- "the reader glides through … It’s like dancing in someone’s mind"

- "You should be a playwright as this should be spoken"

- "like a meditation" – “A breathtaking concept”

- “… glorious driving rhythms of the syntax. It's prose that has an inner music that almost compels us to speak it aloud.”

- “Out of the mouth of this one comes reflections of both humanity and sanity.”

If you’ve considered Lunatic before I’ve put up a very different book recently too, a Romance, so rather than spam you for a read for that in the future, and maybe as an antidote if I’ve messaged you before for Lunatic, you might like to take a look at ‘The Book of Esther’.

THE BOOK OF ESTHER

- “I found this mesmerizing”

- “I love the way your words allow us to connect with your emotions, the way they compel us to reminisce about our own experiences, and the way they capture both happiness and sadness so perfectly.”

- “I can tell you already that I love it. …the lover and the beloved. Your story reminds me of how beautiful and yet painful both of those roles can be.”

Thank you,

John

Dear Yolanda,
I hope you deem my book worthy.
“Dark of the “Moon” is a true story about a child's innocence, a girl's pain in dealing with abuse, and a woman's triumph.
Won't you consider supporting it?
Thank you and God bless.
Maria

As much as I enjoy "Street Smart Dating", my book is right behind it at number 9 in the ranks and I have admittedly resorted to spamming, as it becomes necessary to progress when you're this close to the Editor's Desk. "A Circle in the Woods" is the story of a strange man who finds a little lost girl in the woods. I appreciate any time you take to consider supporting this book, including the time you took to read this message. Thanks - and apologies for the spam.

Well, there comes a time when you just have to ask (sometimes twice--sorry if this is the second time) ... so here's the pitch (BTW- trying to make a run for the desk in May or June and I'm sitting at 22)

In Grant’s Pass, an eight-year-old boy is kidnapped and forced to live with the serial killer that murdered his family.

Christopher was all set to live a normal life, but he didn’t know he’d lose his father and then a sociopath would murder the rest of his family. How could an eight-year-old possibly know that? Malcolm abducted Christopher to share a secret—the same secret that has defiled the town's reputation for over a hundred years.

Can you please stick me on your W/L and when you have time give my book a read?

Cheers,
Dwayne

Dear Yolanda

I would be honored if you would take a look at Chasing Pharaohs―a fiction book set in 18th Dynasty Egypt―and ask respectfully for your rating and comments as you see fit.

Short pitch: Three warriors battle an enemy unlike any other. A shadow that outwits all shadows - a thief in the night to cast down kings.

I appreciate your time and consideration. Thank you.

Sincerely

CMT Stibbe

Hi Yolanda,

How are you?

Shock news: my book, A Memory of Blood, just reached no. 4 in the rankings! Scary. :) Is there any chance you’d be willing to back me just this month? May will be the last month I'm racing. Win or lose, I'll stop racing in June.

Yours hopefully,

Pete

ps I'm hoping keeping me on your shelf should be good for your tsr too. I'm driving v hard for the desk, so I will be going up. ;)

Hi Yolanda,

I'm writing to you because of your TSR, but specifically to ask you to use it to help keep Literary Fiction alive and thriving at this site. Please think about offering your support to one of these titles.

Both these books fall into the LF category but are at the same time quite different, and hopefully rewarding, reads:

By Winston Emerson

* A Circle in the Woods *
http://www.authonomy.com/books/28372/a-circle-in-the-woods/

- "there is a style and use of language that borders on mesmerizing"

- "an incredible piece of writing"

- “very strong and maintains an anticipatory tension”

- “I devoured five chapters at a sitting with much satisfaction”

- “I think this is the sort of writing that wins literary prizes”

- “fantastic piece of work”

- “masterful composition of an exciting story”

And my own work.

* The Lunatic Sings *
http://www.authonomy.com/books/30880/the-lunatic-sings/

- "has a very Fight Club vibe"

- "like a William S. Burroughs novel with a point"

- "Deftly imitating waves of consciousness"

- "the reader glides through … It’s like dancing in someone’s mind"

- "a singular foray into the past to reclaim the best part of it”

- "like a meditation"

- "once I started it grabbed hold of me"

- "one is compelled to know more about this man"

Regards,

John

Hi Yolanda,

just wanted to tell you NOT to read Her Soul To Keep if you were
a) intending to spend time with your family today
b) hoping to get any work done or
c) wanted to get to sleep before the wee small hours of the morning...

A real page-turner that will have you hooked from the beginning combining chick-lit, a mysterious death and a lively romp through the after-life (how many books can claim that?!)

I'd love it if you could give it a read - it really is one to watch.

Many thanks, Kerry M

Yolanda,
I'm messaging the top talent spotters to ask for your support of Titanic: Rose Dawson's Story. The film is scheduled for rerelease in three dimensions in April of 2012, a hundred years since the disaster. I could use your help to reach the editor's desk in time for my novelization to be published prior to the rerelease of Titanic.

Hey Yolanda,

I wonder if you might be willing to put Going Out In Style on your shelf this week? I am losing ground and need help to stay within the top five rankings.

Thx
A Zoomer

Hi there fellow Authonomite,

I’d be honored to have you check out my newest book on here: THE WRITE IN by E M Delaney

http://www.authonomy.com/books/30862/the-write-in/

I never had any idea that my book would get anywhere near the top. I certainly didn’t think it would get there in such a short period of time. I am very humble I assure you. The thing is, I’m learning that if one does not get out and promote (spam to some), one will not be able to move through the traffic jam at the top.
I do not ask for blind backings / rate swaps and so forth. I’m simply asking you to check out the pitch. Just like in the case of impressing an agent, I start by trying to get you to read my “hook”. If the hook part of my pitch does not grab you, please write me a message and tell me why for analytical purposes.
Of course if you do decide to check out THE WRITE IN, I appreciate your feedback / remarks / comments. Star rate it if you will and back it if you feel it deserves it. As a courtesy, I try to read everyone’s books who support mine. I cannot promise a backing, or positive comments. I may also be a bit slow for your liking, however, if you go back and read my comments of others, you will see that I cover the bases. I don’t mean to brag, but I do have a very high TSR, which would greatly benefit your book if I do choose to back it. I star rate all books with integrity and expect only the same.

Thank you for your consideration of my request, and your time. I wish you my very best.

Sincerely,

E M Delaney

Dear Yolanda,

I’ve realised that in order to get closer to the ED I have to be brazen. I can only compete with the spammers by becoming one of them. Angelwings (YA fantasy) is a good book, and without spamming it hovers in the charts while everyone else nudges past it. Please could you take a look, and if you like it, give it your backing?

Thanks
Anna
