Love your hair. Watch out for that 5PM shade.
I know you are as thrilled as I am to have seen Weekend in Weighton reach the ED. If you are not, then there is something seriously wrong with you and you should talk to somebody about that.
If you are in fact thrilled, you are no doubt also somewhat saddened by the fact that you have no legitimate excuse to keep it on your shelf any longer. Good comic thrillers are so hard to come by.
But wait! There is hope. There is Fresh Meat, a comic paranormal novel set in the sunny Caribbean where the mosquitoes are scarier than the vampires!
Countless Authonomites have been led to fits of hysterics by this book, and you could be another victim!
Won't you have a look?
All the best,
Maeve

Thank you, Deary, much appreciated.

I hear your husband fell to the drink - he got run over by a Guiness truck, right?

Keep up the fab lines,

Terry

Hi Mrs Doubtfire, I'm reading through books on the site, I got to you and nothings posted. Any chance you can take a look at mine and let me know when and if yours is up and I will be first in the queue?
Kind Regards

Hi Mrs Doubtfire,

HELP, HELP, HELP

Stop the Insanity was first posted to Authonomy about three weeks ago. It is a manifesto for those of us who are fed up with our dysfunctional Congress, and would like to do something about it.

I’ve received a number of interesting comments, some critical others very positive. I enjoyed both kinds but the critical ones were more helpful. As a result of comments, ranging from mildly critical to telling me I was a complete idiot, I have extensively revised the book. I have now posted an updated version with more, shorter and clearer chapters. It has gone from nine to sixteen chapters with almost no increase in the number of pages.

It is now early September and I will send the manuscript off for professional editing at the end of September. It is crucial that I make any necessary changes in the next three weeks. I need your help to do this.

I need you to pick one or two chapters that are of interest. There is a table of contents at the start of chapter one. Then write and post comments letting me know of any suggestions you have for improvement. I will consider any recommendations, as I have done in the past. With your help I can improve the book, make the ED, successfully self publish it, and hopefully change the world.

I am looking forward to hearing from you

Sincerely,

David Welch

Since you have space on your shelf, could you please consider my novel called Solian Chronicles: Pluto Genesis? It is a positive Science Fiction novel of the near future that has gotten some very good reviews. Thank you for your consideration and I hope you have a good day.

If anyone would like my story, it would be Mrs Euphegenia Doubtfire :)) Right? Fingers crossed.

I don't know if this is anywhere near your interest, but I thought I'd ask.

A 38-year-old mother. Two young daughters. A father left behind. An immovable adversary. No Kiss Goodbye is the story of my unexpected escape from communist Romania in 1981, at fourteen, along switchbacks that months later would lead to America.

It’s currently ranked in the top 5. I'd be honored if you'd consider reading, commenting, and if you find it worthy and can lend me a shelf space, backing it a few days.

Here’s the link: http://www.authonomy.com/books/39263/no-kiss-good-bye. Thank you so much!

Donna

PS. I love Robin Williams, in any role :))

Thank you so much for your loyal backing of SECRETS WE KEEP! Because of you, it has risen to the mid-twenties. Now it is time for me to push on and get the word out, to bring it the rest of the way up to the ED. I hope you will stick with me for this next critical period. Then we can all celebrate together! Virtually, anyhow. Please tell your friends to check out SECRETS and by the way, the whole revised book is posted now, if you're interested in the ending. Best wishes to you and yours... xo~Gail SECRETS WE KEEP

Hi,
I'm humbly writing at Maeve's command, because she thinks you might take a look at A Priest's Tale, and - if, of course, you like it - transfer your support from MMiD to my work.
I'd be grateful if you did. :)

This has been a really incredible experience. I have met some really wonderful people, and read some really wonderful books. One of the things the experience has reaffirmed, is that people, at least on the site, are generous and giving and interested in the well-being of others. I've also discovered that there are a great many very good books. And that a shelf of 5 spots is much too small to reflect the amount of talent on the site.
I want to thank all of you wonderful people who have taken one of those five spaces and devoted it to MMID. It is an honour to be so chosen.  I also want to thank those who have taken the time to write careful reviews, some critical, some flattering, but almost all of them helpful. I am humbled by the time and effort you have taken.
I wish I could give every single one of you careful, detailed comments right-away. Obviously, that is impossible, and it will take some time before I can return all the reads.  I will work under the assumption that most of you would rather wait for a more careful review than have a fast, short one. I like to spend a good deal of time with each book, and I hope to leave helpful comments to you all. There're many books that I think deserve backing. I wish I could back more at once, but see no benefit to anyone from very short backings.
I am working on a thread, which is a work in progress. It will eventually feature you all, plugs, and other fun and games.

Please don't hesitate to drop me a line.
All the best,
Maeve

Hi Mrs D,

“Informers and blackmailers, phrenologists and dissectionists, lowlifes and murderers in early Victorian Dublin.”

I’d really appreciate it if you could have a look at the start of my first novel, The Morning Drop.

Cheers,
Andrew.
