Hello,

Critique groups are a wonderful way to get your book read. Further, they are also a great way of getting genre specific critiques. I’ve noticed that there isn’t a “Horror Critique Group”. My book is more paranormal thriller than horror, but is still has elements of that. I am checking to see if this is something the horror writers on this site would be interested in.

If so, this is the link to the thread, just post your name, and a link to your book there. If there is enough interest I will edit the OP to list all the members books and set up a critique schedule.

Best regards,

Sharon

Will you fight for CUPID (god of sexual love) leading men or for LIBERTY FAIRY leading women in this greatest Third World War?

1) Hear the two greatest orations, one by CUPID and the other by LIBERTY FAIRY in the final battlefield in Third World War, and then join the battle!—read chapter: 15
2) Win a Nobel prize if you solve any of 11 unsolved riddles! Also know the darkest mystery about ‘After Death’.—read chapter: 14.
3) A golden treasure of 100 new Emerald proverbs and novel, naughty quotations on sex, sexual love, marriage, etc., read chapter: 3.
4) For the strangest ‘Preface’, never read by you till now, read the sarcastic conversation between YOU as the scathing reader and ME as the defending author in chapter: 5.
5) If you are a lover of traditional rhymed volcanic and lyric poems (like those of Alfred Tennyson), read my 37 poems in chapter: 17.
6) Within the next 10 years, all countries in the world will come under the rule of Angels Party. For 100 most revolutionary novel ideas in Election Manifesto of Angels Party, read the two most important chapters: 10 and 11.
7) For ‘Sexual Revolution for sexual ecstasy for all freely’ revealed by CUPID against ‘Eternal Bliss ten times more joyful than sexual ecstasy by Raja Yoga and about ‘Many Evils and 3 types of Jails by Sex---Even the most virulent poison is no poison when compared to CUPID!’ by LIBERTY FAIRY,
8) Read the full kindle e-book with 598 pages with 4 different RED, BLACK, GREEN and BLUE text colo(u)rs published by Amazon.com priced at $ 9 only.

Will you please echo the noble appeal of LIBERTY FAIRY to as many friends as possible?

Emerald,
Author of Third World War.

Dear Throckmorton (now, that is a mouthful),
I loved Rupee Millionaires. It was such great fun. But now it has gone to a better place, and the spot that it occupies on your shelf could be better used for something else.
I am very proud to have written a book that almost made Joe lose his lunch from laughing so hard. I would like the opportunity to make you lose your lunch, or cough out some milk through your nose, or just have a good chuckle.
Mrs Maginnes is Dead is a comic murder mystery set in the remote and exotic destination of Edinbugh. Exotic if you are from Pushkar.
Would you take a look? I guarantee a giggle, or your money back.
I return all reads, of course, in due course.
All the best,
Maeve

Hello,

As Rupee Millionaires is about to make the review desk I was hoping you would consider putting my new paranormal thriller “Lykaia” in its place afterwards. I am set to begin March at #1 but books have fallen from the position before. I would truly appreciate your support even for a few days.

These are just a few of the comments Lykaia has received.

- “This is one of the best written and orchestrated paranormal novels I have read on or off Authonomy…..”

- “… is a great example of a horror/fantasy tale told well…”

- “This. Is. A. Fantastic. Read.”

- “I can honestly say that I would go into a shop and buy this without a second thought.”

- “Lykaia is a stunning read. Gripping. Chilling. And loaded with suspense.”

- “My first werewolf book. Are they all this good?”

I am always happy to return the read for honest comments and backings.

Kind regards,

Sharon
..

Hi Throck! I just wanted to say thank you so much for your continued support in helping Rupee Millionaires stay on the desk :-) It's thanks to you I got there in the first place! So for you to still support me really means so much.

Hi
Forgive the unsolicited spam, but I would be very grateful if you could take a look at my novel "The World is (Not) a Cold Dead Place".
I'm looking for constructive feedback of any kind, and starrings and backings from those who think it's good enough, to help my run for the editors desk.
It's contemporary fiction, that i would like to think has a gritty, urban edge to it, which i think there isn't a huge amount of on this site.
I am of course happy to return all reads.

Hope you can find the time.

Nathan

As a fan of Peter Allen's intriguing 'Mother Knows Best', I was wondering whether you might be interested in taking a look at my novel, 'The Poet', a darkly mysterious, psychological thriller?

I'm just about holding on to a top five spot on the ed's desk so any support would be most appreciated. I am, of course, happy to return all reads.

Many thanks. Andrew

How are you, mate?

Dear Throck,
Hope you're doing well. By virtue of your previous support, SHINING DAWN is presently ranked among the first forty.
I was wondering if you’d be kind enough to reinstate my book on your shelf and keep it there for the remainder of its journey. Your encouragement and best wishes are much needed.
Sincere regards.

Hello Throck,
I wrote to thank you for your support a few days ago. Noting that you no longer need to have my book on your shelf, I wonder if I might urge you to think about reading/backing one or more of these splendid offerings I have been supporting for a while:
Dawn Rising by A.F.E. Smith – a brilliantly written fantasy ‘Alyssia has a choice to make. Her sanity, or everything that's ever mattered to her.’

Bad Bishop by I. Soldatos – a superbly researched and beautifully composed tale of mystery, crime and politics in the 12th century, under the cover of darkness.

ONE WRONG TURN by E M Delaney – no one believes Phil was car-jacked and now his wallet has turned up at a murder scene across town.

Find them on my shelf.
Happy reading and thanks again,
Pete

Hello,

‘Ozoneraser’ is of the slipstream Sci-Fi genre and involves the mysterious disappearances of eight million Americans. Will the President of United States succeed in stopping the Al-Jihad or will the world succumb to the atrocities of the terrorist outfit?

May I ask your kind support and valuable opinion of the book as it moves closer towards the Editorial desk. I will be glad to read your work and share my feedback.

Thanks,
Venkatarama Dandibhotla

Hello :)

I see you are shelving a previous ED winner. I thought since they don’t need this spot anymore, I’d apply for it.

Would you like to take a look at my contemporary fantasy? Here's a link to it: http://www.authonomy.com/books/35929/the-book-of-the-forsaken-/

Dear Throckmorton (is that a nom de plume?),
November’s coming to an end and I wondered if you might now find room on your shelf for my book.
I’ve been on the site for just over 2 years, reviewing and backing books and not really promoting mine, but now I’d really love to get a review.
Many thanks if you’ve backed me in the past – I’d appreciate it if you’d consider re-shelving me again.
Thanks and kind regards,
