Hi there! I just wanted to say “hi” and introduce myself. My name is Michelle, and I am a Christian non-fiction writer here on Authonomy. I am new, but would love to help you in any way I can.

I have four books here, but would appreciate it so very much if you would take the time to comment and review just one:

http://authonomy.com/books/47250/a-woman-inspired-collection-1/

I know you may not agree with the content, and that’s okay. I would simply love your opinion on the introduction and my general writing style.

My first book is the one most readers seem to identify with, because it is born out of my life experiences. To sum it up, I would say it’s about finding the extraordinary presence of God in the ordinary course of life.

My second book is in a "Dear Abby" format, and the answers can be quite cut and dry.

My third and fourth books are in the style of daily devotionals...

But, to come and meet me and my amazing family, which I truly hope you will...you'll find us in the first book.

I hope my stories put a smile on your face today, and warmth in your heart.

Thank you so much for your time! I will review and comment on your book in return.

I also have shelf space, and if I love your book, I will shelve it and back it!

I would be honored if you backed my book! :)

Warmly,

Michelle

Hello, my name is James Revino. I am the author of ‘Hollow.’ I was wondering if you might be able to take a look at my work and tell me what you think, good and bad. Any critique would be much appreciated, it is the best way to improve. Of course, if you wanted to back it, that would be great as well. Have a good day, and thanks for your time.

Cas Greenfield: writer, broadcaster, musician, artist

Hi Kris - just extending the ink-stained hand of friendship.

I've been on-site for a little while now, and I've found it to be an extremely constructive and rewarding experience. The range of writing and subjects available here seems to cover a broad spectrum of styles and ability, but it does pay to have a thick skin - some of those critics can be pretty fierce!

Backing books, making friends, commenting where you can – that seems to be the way to raise the profile, so here I am.

I'm usually around, so it would be fantastic to hear from you.

Anyway, happy writing, reading or whatever it is you’re doing today...

All the best, have a great day – Cas

PS: If you do happen to get the uncontrollable urge to look at either of my books, here are the links

http://authonomy.com/books/42586/slow-poison/
http://www.authonomy.com/books/42590/bloodstones/

Slow Poison is dark and brutal, Bloodstones is a gentler read, but gets tougher as the story progresses. A little like Larsson, Welsh, Niffenegger I have been told. (…but I haven’t read any of their work yet…so you’ll have to be the judge of that…)

Warning: both of my books contain explicit sexual acts, frequent swearing and disturbing scenes of violence. Please do not read if you are of a sensitive nature or under age in your territory.

Hi, Kris,

I saw your post in the forum and would love to do a read swap with you. I have watchlisted your two books and, since we are in the same genre, I would truly appreciate your critique of my stuff. I hope you are well and I have friend requested you as well.

Thanks

Chris

Hi, Kris. With the new month comes changes in shelves, so I'm messaging you about my book "Graffiti Heaven." It's set in New Zealand and follows the lives of a group of young people dealing with love, family, and tragedy. If you have time to check it out and deem it worthy of your shelf I'd greatly appreciate it as I'm planning on self-publishing it in August, and would love to get some editing tips from Harper Collins. Thank you for your time, Marita.

Will you fight for CUPID (god of sexual love) leading men or for LIBERTY FAIRY leading women in this greatest Third World War?

1) Hear the two greatest orations, one by CUPID and the other by LIBERTY FAIRY in the final battlefield in Third World War, and then join the battle!—read chapter: 15
2) Win a Nobel prize if you solve any of 11 unsolved riddles! Also know the darkest mystery about ‘After Death’.—read chapter: 14.
3) A golden treasure of 100 new Emerald proverbs and novel, naughty quotations on sex, sexual love, marriage, etc., read chapter: 3.
4) For the strangest ‘Preface’, never read by you till now, read the sarcastic conversation between YOU as the scathing reader and ME as the defending author in chapter: 5.
5) If you are a lover of traditional rhymed volcanic and lyric poems (like those of Alfred Tennyson), read my 37 poems in chapter: 17.
6) Within the next 10 years, all countries in the world will come under the rule of Angels Party. For 100 most revolutionary novel ideas in Election Manifesto of Angels Party, read the two most important chapters: 10 and 11.
7) For ‘Sexual Revolution for sexual ecstasy for all freely’ revealed by CUPID against ‘Eternal Bliss ten times more than sexual ecstasy by Raja Yoga and about ‘Many Evils and 3 types of Jails by Sex---Even the most virulent poison is no poison when compared to CUPID!’ by LIBERTY FAIRY,
8) Read the full kindle e-book with 598 pages with 4 different RED, BLACK, GREEN and BLUE text colo(u)rs published by Amazon.com priced at $ 9 only.

Will you please echo the noble appeal of LIBERTY FAIRY to as many friends as possible?

Emerald,
Author of Third World War.

EVER HAD ONE OF THOSE MOMENTS WHEN EVERYTHING YOU ACCEPT AS NORMAL SUDDENLY SEEMS SO TOTALLY INSANE?
TODAY, is like any other mind-numbingly boring, soul-destroying day at the office. That is except for Pamela Hoare, Charlie Cockburn and that weird junior accountant no-one has noticed before.
TODAY, slutty secretary, Pamela Hoare, is about to put the finishing touches to her plan to blackmail her sexually repressed boss, Mr Rupen Patel, and make him her bitch.
TODAY, Charlie Cockburn, coked-up, hung-over and horny as hell realizes just how close he is to losing his job and decides to tell Mr Patel to stick it up his arse.
AND THEN there is that junior accountant - just so you know, his name is Lucas Swink - today, he will blow up a window and leap out the office block in attempt to awaken the masses.
Hoare, Cockburn and Swink are just some of the fucked-up, desperate souls you'll follow in this breakthrough novel that takes an unflinching look at London's cubicle driven society. Let Rude Awakening scratch away the shit-stained window of your perceptions and show you that everyone, from high-rolling businessmen to desperate barmaids, wants something more but doesn't know how to get it.
WILL SWINK BE THE ONE TO SHOW THEM HOW?

Happy New Year, Kris!

I'm wondering whether you'd perhaps be interested in taking the time out to read, rate, back, recommend, or perhaps comment on (if you’re not too busy), the first 4 chapters of my debut novel, Miss Manners? It would be so great if you could.

Thanks to everyone's wonderful support, Miss Manners has managed to climb the ranks from #5000 to #500 in less than 2 weeks and enter the Top #100 in under a month on the Editor’s Desk chart!!!

I am so grateful for your wonderful support - it really does mean the world to me!

Wishing you and all your loved ones a happy, healthy and prosperous 2012! May all your dreams come true!

Warmest wishes,

Iman xxx

P.S. I'd be more than happy to return the read!

***PRAISE FOR MISS MANNERS***

Katina Grist Jones, author of Hens from Hell.

"Miss Manners' wicked humour soars above other Chick Lit offerings. It fizzes and sparkles like the drink of choice of It Girls. If you've heard one news story too many about miserable, recession hit Britain then read this."
Lambert Nagle, author of Revolution Earth.

“Hugely entertaining!”
Caroline Batten, author of Forfeit.

“Perfect Chick Lit!”
Tammy Robinson, author of Charlie and Pearl.

"I loved this book! It was fast, furious, fun, fabulous and uproariously funny!! I can’t think of a woman who wouldn’t want this book! A Chick Lit gem! To read it is to devour it!"

"Fast-paced, fresh, funny and faultlessly written!"
Julianne Townsend, author of Trusting Claude.

“Hilarious, relentless whirlwind of a romp!”

Hello I was wondering if you would want to swap reads? I would be happy to go first of course. Catalaysia: The Curse of Five is the reinvention of the fantasy genre and to shape-shifters, intriguing its readers from the first chapter. I have been looking for some good honest feedback since most of the edits are done. Thanks for your time.

Dear Kris,
Profound apologies for this unsolicited message.
SHINING DAWN, presently ranked 20th, is a multifaceted work of science fiction set in a dystopian alternate reality. May I interest you to take a look?
Should you find it deserving, then a few days on your bookshelf can do my story a world of good.
I’ll be pleased to swap reads and offer my feedback.
Sincere regards,
AGC

Hi I wondered if I could interest you in reading my ‘Tales for Children’. The title says it all really, but it has been said here on authonomy that adults like to read it too. So if you fancy something different then give it a try. I always return reads.
Thanks in advance Brian.

Hi Kris,

My book "Master of the Miracles" has slipped three spots in the past few days. I was wondering if you'd be willing to help me out and back my book until the end of the month. I've made it this far and I've only got seven more days to go! I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks so much,

Rena (Bunderful)
