Hey,

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say hi and to tell you my book The Revealing has made its way into another contest, but the competition is heating up. You have been so supportive in the past, I was hoping you might be interested in casting a vote in my direction. All you have to do is go to the below website and click 5 stars. It’s super easy. You may even want to consider entering your manuscript into the next round. If you do, give me a shout. I’d be glad to return the voting favor! Thanks, happy writing!

Since you like Stephen King you would probably find his book 'On Writing' really very interesting, funny and Helpful. He said something to the effect that when he rewrote his books he left a third of what he'd written out and kept two-thirds. He said it always read better. I'm only on your second chapter but I can see where you could drop about a third of the chapter and sharpen it up and it would read uch better.

Hello ,

Hope you are well. Maybe you would like to try out my new satire, Doghouse Blues. Here is an endorsement:

I was attracted to Doghouse Blues from the pitch alone because it was so very different. There are so many budding writers out there who want to earn the same sort of money as J K Rowling by writing exactly the same kind of book and , to be frank, I am getting a bit tired of it.
This, on the other hand, struck me as being an original piece of work. The product of a lively mind and written by someone who is an excellent observer of the real world out there and who knows how to translate his observations into print. Just the right amount of dialogue, which carries the story along well.
I have not read the complete book (yet) but have dipped into it fairly freely to see if the momentum is maintained. It certainly is.
Philip John

Looking forward to reading your comments on the Doghouse Blues webpage.

All the best,

Clive

First of all, I want to thank YOU very much for backing my novel to the Gold Medal. I appreciate your support very much.
To show my appreciation, I have committed myself to supporting and promoting your novel for at least a week at a time.
If you do not have a novel, but have a friend that does, please let me know and I will support and promote theirs in your place.
If you have multiple novels, please let me know which one you want me to support.
If you would not like me to do this for you, please let me know and I will remove you from my promotion list.
Keep in mind that it may take over a year to cover everyone at least one week at a time, so please be patient.
I will try to back you when it is the most effective for your novel, especially if you are close to the top 5.
Also, those who make it to the top 5, I will support your novel that month.
Those novels on my shelf, I will try to read and comment on at least the first chapter that week, but that is dependent on my availability.
Please message me if you have any changes or need my help, or post on the forum I have started for you: http://authonomy.com/forums/threads/105496/thank-you-and-time-to-promote-you-/?pagenumber=1#AnchorComment
Again thank you very much for all you have done and have a great day.
You can remove my novel from your bookshelf at this time, as it no longer helps your numbers.
I would suggest backing one of those who have backed mine. The list is on the forum above.

I have Solian Chronicles: Pluto Genesis on my bookshelf, so do you, I think you may like my Time Travel Sci-Fi book and would appreciate it if you can find the time to take a look. Thanks.

Sam,

Thanks for your comments on my novel Horizons a few weeks ago. I just thought I'd let you know the chapters have now been updated with a new re-write that may address your concerns from last time. I'd be interested in your views if you get the chance for another look.

Regards,

Robert

"The Prince and the Singularity – A Circular Tale" is a book with one big advantage, one only needs to read the first 40 lines to know whether one is going to like the story or not. If after the first 40 lines you're not hooked, no need to bother reading the rest.

Thank you kindly for supporting me. I hope you can continue your support down to the top 5, as it helps your user ranking. But if not, I do hope you can enjoy reading my novel.
If you need any help on the site, please let me know. I hope you have a very nice day.

Sam,

Thanks for the comments on Horizons. I'm becoming confused since I've been on authonomy - some people love my characterization, others think it needs tweaking! I suppose to some extent it depends on whether you like character driven or plot driven writing! I will consider your comment carefully though. At least everyone seems happy with the basic premise!

Healer is on my reading list but it may be a few days before I get to it because I'm losing my internet at some point - I'm not sure when...

Regards,

Robert

Sam,

I note you're a published author and there's some sci-fi in your reading interests. Your opinion on my sci-fi mystery Horizons would, therefore, be of value to me. Please do consider reading:-

1) Karen Conner, Astronaut, framed for murder, but why?
2) Jack Summers, her younger ex-lover, still crazy about her. Only he can help her learn the truth.
3) A space mission that could change the world forever.

Above it all a battle of wits between a corrupt businessman and a brilliant scientist: first-contact is a dream, but there are those who would kill to prevent it...

If you enjoy Horizons, stars and bookshelf slots are always welcomed, but I'm interested in your thoughts, whatever they may be...

I'd be very happy to look at 'Healer' if you'd be interested in my opinions - I always try to give a constructive critique!

Warm regards,

Robert

Dear friend,
Would you mind back and/or appraise/proofread a chapter of my book? I would appreciate. Expect same from me

faith rose wrote 289 days ago

Hi Sam,

Very odd. I just tried your link and it says: "not found." I looked on your page again, and all I see is 'A Ghost of Fire.' Then your friends are displayed underneath that book. Usually when an author has two or more books, they are lined up there before the friends. I have never edited my book on this site, but I have heard from friends that there is a "make public" button that has to be clicked in order for the book to be displayed to the autho community. Is it possible only you are seeing it? Or are you receiving comments on it from others? Let me know...I really do want to read and comment, but I honestly cannot see it. :(
Maybe ask a few others to see if it's just me...

Keep me posted,
Faith

Since you have a gold-medal book on your shelf, leaving it there after that will no longer help your user ranking.
If you are looking for a new potential gold-medal book to put on your shelf within this month or next, please consider my novel called Solian Chronicles: Pluto Genesis. It is a positive Science Fiction novel of the near future that has gotten some very good reviews. Thank you for your consideration and I hope you have a good day.

Hi Sam,

It is so nice to hear from you. I'm so sorry about your job... :( That is such a hard thing. I am hoping and praying with you that one of these new positions will open up for you soon.

I am not yet seeing 'Healer' here on authonomy. I just went to your page, but I don't see it as of yet. I would love to read it whenever you have it up. I will keep checking back... :)

Have a great day,
Faith

Hey there Sam,

Do you have another book up? I saw in my newsfeed that you published "Healer." Sounds interesting...let me know if you upload it... I'd love to have a look! :)

Thanks again for your amazing support. I hope you are doing well.

Take care,
Faith

How can I help? Cas

Casimir Greenfield wrote 297 days ago

Hi Sam – it’s me again…

BLOODSTONEs is so close to the Ed's desk I can almost smell the mahogany. We're all jostling for space up here in the top five and I'm just hanging on by the tips of my fingers...aaargh!

If you could give me the few last days of August on your shelf, I might just make it to that all important Harper Collins Editor’s read.

So if you can spare some room for me on your stylish bookshelf, your help will be gratefully received

All the best from me, your Authonomy friend, Cas.

PS: Just let me know when I can do some of the same for you…
