Hi there Aya and happy Friday!

Rather than spam you asking if you'd read my book Parabolic, I thought I'd just share one of today's reviews.

J.S.Watts left this quite tasty quote about Parabolic:-

"So many prologues don’t work, don’t really have a purpose, but this did. At first I thought it was all a bit hard nosed and callous but then I did start wondering how else you would write and email like this, so yes, for me, it works.

…and reading on, it may actually be callous, but it fits the personality of the person that wrote it.

The writing flows smoothly (so smooth, in fact, that I didn’t notice any typos) the dialogue is great, I like the anti-heroes and the distinctive subject matter. It has a good ending as well.

Great stuff!"

If you want to see what he's on about, you can read Parabolic here:- http://www.authonomy.com/books/35255/parabolic

Many thanks in advance & have a great weekend,

Harry

Hi

This is an invitation for you to post a least one paragraph of your novel's opening in the forum thread (On Writing/If I were an agent, I’d stop reading.)

Format:

Title:
Genre:
Short pitch:
Book Link:
Thread page #:
Chapter 1: up to 600 words

The rest of us will pretend we're agents reading the partial we requested from you. If we make it all the way through without hitting a snag we’ll tell you. If we read something that trips us up, a spelling or grammar issue, a cliche, awkward structure, we’ll point out the spot where we stopped reading and mention why.

The main point of the thread is to get your book some attention (the thread has 100,000 views) and foster discussion about writing, so stop on by, post something, or just comment.

I look forward to reading your work.

Cheers…

Jack Cerro “The Nymph’s Heart”

ps: "Our contributing faux agents are a diverse lot, so Caveat emptor."
pps: If your post gets lost in the slush pile, or you want more feedback, just submit it again.

Hello Aya:

"An Unfinished Innocence" explores adulterous alcoholic substance-abusing schizophrenic author/academic/columnist and inadvertent serial killer, Brendan Dogge, and his search for redemption with the help of a small boy and a three-legged dog. A typical love story.

You may enjoy it!

Dear Aya,

Do you fancy a read of something a bit different? If so please try my Harpist of Madrid. It’s an historical mix of love, music, scandal and intrigue! Hope you support the thing.

Best wishes, Gordon.

Sorry if you’ve had this before!

Good day fellow writer and child of God,
You have been 5* today.

A good mystery must always involve who, what, where, why, when, and how. This is certainly true about the collections of books that make up the bible, the greatest mystery ever. One of the mysteries that it contains is whether or not Jesus committed transgression(s) against the commandments and laws Moses gave. He stood trail before Pilate accused by the Chief Priests and Elders of sedition and subverting the people to uprising.

Standing before Pontius Pilate who threatens to condemn him to be crucified, Jesus of Nazareth stood silent. It was written that he would do this in Isaiah 53:7. Would there be evidence that could have been presented to save Christ from this suffering? As Abel's blood cried out to God after Cain had slain him, the blood of Christ calls out to us from scripture in his defense.

This manuscript presents the testimonial evidence that proves which leads to conviction that Christ was innocent of any transgression of the law of Moses. To believe it - this is a must read.

Hope you will find the time to take a gander at this exegesis and possibly * and back.

If this is a repeat of a former request, please forgive the intrudence. Must advertise to sell.

Yours in Christ
Harold

A few weeks ago it was my pleasure to read and comment on your book and now I have *rated it. I was just wondering if you have had the opportunity since then to take a look at Firelord? I could really do with your input.
Thanks for your support and continuing good wishes for your own book. :)

Once upon a time you were kind enough to back my book Apocalypse Then. After one year on the site and nearly 700 reviews I have accepted many of the suggestions (sometimes, I admit, through gritted teeth) and the work is fully edited. I believe Apocalypse Then is now ready for the desk. If you belive this to be so please consider placing it on your desk. All the best DD ;o)

Hey Aya,

I'm Juen, writer of "Trinity of the Turris Ravus," but I'm placing my backing behing Yonni's "Azrael."

It is honestly amazing and reinvents the idea of demons and slayers. If you like something like Supernatural or Harry Potter, then you'll love "Azrael."

Sincerely,
Juen Bgu

8 days and counting…

Please shelve Saffire Drake and the Three Keys to help it stay on the Ed's Desk (the top 5) this month.

Saffire thinks she's just an ordinary girl - until she experiences strange dreams and another reality on the Island of Midway, is chased by the Midguardian Serpent, walks through portals, learns the magical art of Mystification and battles against an evil Judge. The reason: young Saffire is the long-awaited True Muse.

"I was stunned."

"Without a doubt, one of the best books on the site..."

"I can see this would be a big hit with your target audience."

"This should be on bookstore shelves (or, I guess in this day and age, listed on Amazon.com and on the Barnes and Noble website). My favorite story on the website so far."

Many thanks for your support and kindness.

All the best, Sana

(If you have shelved SD in the past, apologies and please disregard this message)

I hope all is well. You wrote me to say that you put my book on your watchlist on August 20. I thought I’d check in. I know how easy it is to lose a book in the chaos of this site.

I did back your book, and I'd be happy to return any other read requests you might have. I’m still hoping you’ll consider backing my novel Fidelity. Ch 27 is succinct (a few hundred words) and captures the style and premise of my piece--if you’re short on time, that’s a good place to go. Thanks.
