Hi there.. hope you're good
I'm sending you on a note I put on the forum,
which may be of interest.
all the best.. mike

'The Free' is an odd case here, since it was published first in 1986, by the class-less Hooligan Press.
I uploaded to Authonomy while rewriting on the request of a small publisher, and got a flood of useful comments (1358 so far!), but failed to reach GOLDSTARGLORY (it did get to rank 7 twice under the old system).

So I had a publisher already, but he pulled out, saying it was too long and un-commercial.
When I got over my shattered ego I finished the rewrite and published it as a free Ebook, with a 'Wordmess' blog where you can read it online thefreeonline.wordpress.com plus a 'Farcebook' page where it has almost 2000 'friends'.

Finally a year later I've put the latest 2012 edition on Createspace as a real dead tree book, and had a few sales already. http://www.amazon.com/Free-schoolgirl-herself-explosive-revolution/dp/1466409320/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_t_3
The epub edition for android is also free from the blog, but for Kindle you have to pay.

So that's it.. I did it backwards,, and now I'm back to planting potatoes
Best luck to ALL fellow writers here!!!!!
mike

If you think this is spam, then please ignore. However, this is the best way to advertise a book on this site of thousands of users and novels. If you like a positive Science Fiction novel with the feel of Star Trek, then please check out my novel called "Solian Chronicles: Pluto Genesis". Please give constructive feedback if you can.

Hi Jeff and Kelly,

Want a fast-paced, totally original, really fun read? If Carl Hiaasen and The Office had a baby, it might look something like ANIMAL CRACKER.

Can a bunch of smart, sassy women get the goods on their boss at Boston’s venerable Animal Protection Agency? Hal Mason is Brad-Pitt handsome, with a Harvard professor wife and an adorable but shiftless son who wins the heart of Diane Salvi, the organization’s new communications director and the book’s narrator.

The malapropping, narcissistic Hal, famous for his animal-themed ties and jokes, has managed to earn the adulation of the organization’s board of directors and the scorn of his staff. When his negligence leads to the dog poop literally hitting the fan, Diane and her reporter roommate Genie set out to dig up some dirt on him, with a little help from friends in the office.

There's never a bad time for a fun read in which the good guys (or gals) wreak vengeance on a conniving boss who deserves no less.

Thanks for considering Animal Cracker, and I happily swap reads.

All my best,
Andi
P.S. Your backing would really help me stay on the editor's desk for just eight more days. And look at you, with that nice empty space on your shelf!

Hullo there. I'm still a reader on this site scouting for new authors to add to my webbie, but I've just uploaded a manuscript myself. If you decide it's not worthy of your backing can you also take a look at the other books on my shelf? Many excellent writers here!

Hi. Would you mind taking a look at my book "The Freel of Streel"? It is, to use the language of the book, a "smatterblaffing" story that uses a great deal of word play whilst creating a world and creatures unique to itself.

Best Wishes,
Ian Kraft

Dear Jeff & Kelly,

as someone who read and commented on my novel 'Ellipsis', I wanted to keep you updated on it's progress. A quick recap on the premise: A man orchestrates his own death, leaving the 'murderer' and his family searching for answers.

Ellipsis will be published on May 10th as is available to pre-order via Sparkling Books, Amazon and Waterstones. I will also be reading at some events.

More info on the novel and events can be found at:

ellipsisnovel.blogspot.com

Please check it out if you're interested.

All the best with your writing,

Nikki

Dear Jeff and Kelly,

I am writing because you once read and commented on my psychological thriller, Ellipsis. It is being published this year and will be out in May 2010. But you can also pre-order it on Waterstones.com or Amazon.

http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/products/nikki+dudley/ellipsis/7245858/

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ellipsis-Nikki-Dudley/dp/1907230106/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1263903891&sr=8-1

Here's the blurb to whet your appetite again:

"Right on time," Daniel Mansen mouths to Alice as she pushes him to his death. Haunted by these words, Alice becomes obsessed with discovering how a man she didn't know could predict her actions. On the day of the funeral, Daniel's cousin, Thom, finds a piece of paper in Daniel's room detailing the exact time and place of his death.

As Thom and Alice both search for answers, they become knotted together in a story of obsession, hidden truths and the gaps in everyday life that can destroy or save a person.

Ellipsis is a disturbing thriller stemming from what is left unsaid, what bounces around in the mind and evaporates when trying to remember. Can there be a conclusion when no-one seems to know the truth?

It'd be great for you to check it out and let me know what you think!

All the best, Nikki Dudley

Jeff and Kelly, Hope you are having a great day. Need your help. After a rocket climb to the top five, oooops, my novel has slipped to #6. If you would be so kind to take a look at my book, I would very much appreciate your help getting back on the Ed desk.
