I’m sending this message to everyone on Authonomy who helped me with THE PUPPET SPELL, be it through backing it, leaving a comment, or even (these amazing people especially) reading the whole book! I haven’t been able to be as active on the site as I used to be because I’ve been preparing for the publication of my first novel. Now I’m thrilled to announce that my debut YA fantasy THE PUPPET SPELL is now on sale on Amazon!

I’m not going to be cheeky and ask everyone to buy a copy, but I’d be incredibly grateful if anyone who left me a positive review on Authonomy could add their review to Amazon/ Goodreads? I’m trying to get as many reviews as possible and I’d be glad of any support as a newbie writer taking her first steps into the publishing world!

Here are my book links: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16107853-the-puppet-spell

And my author FB page: https://www.facebook.com/ELAdams12?ref=hl
And Twitter: https://twitter.com/ELAdams12

Again, thank you so much! Without the help of you wonderful people, I might never have had the courage to approach a publisher!

Thank you so much for backing The Made-Up Man. I have really appreciated your support. I’ve signed a contract with Red Adept and this means I have to take the book down. I’ll be putting up a new one in the next week or so. The day you make a run for the desk with your book, be sure to let me know! Thanks again. E

Hello Rocky,

A singular literary comedy:

Adulterous alcoholic substance-abusing schizophrenic author/academic/columnist Brendan Dogge has an unusual problem: he keeps killing his closest friends. As "An Unfinished Innocence" opens, he is up to 2.5 victims and wondering how he can avoid making that three.

"An Unfinished Innocence" explores Dogge's strangely comic search for redemption.

My online excerpt comes from a chapter halfway through the book and shows how Dogge manages to notch up his half-victim, and his relationship with a singular dancer. There is also a scene from a later chapter showing his hospitalization in a psychiatric ward--told largely from the perspective of an afflicted mind--a look at that world from someone who's been there.

The prose is energetic, poetic. The ideas come fast and furious. You may not want to back this comic novel, but you will agree you've never read anything like it.

Title: “An Unfinished Innocence”

All the best!

Hi Rocky,
As a teacher you might find chapter 6 in my book interesting. I'd appreciate your comments.

I’ve just posted my new book Stop the Insanity. It is a manifesto for those of us who are fed up with our dysfunctional Congress and would like to do something about it. I’ve put down my ideas on how we can cause a change along with descriptions of some of the things I believe need to be changed.

I would really like to hear what you think about my ideas. No problem if you disagree but please let me know why and what you would do instead.

Of course many Authonomy members are not American and/or don’t care about American politics. For you I have put in two bonus sections, written summaries of two very expensive seminars I attended to learn more about marketing and selling books, particularly for those who self publish. I think these two sections, chapters 11 and 12, will be of interest to all.

I am looking forward to hearing what you think.

Sincerely,

David Welch/dloganw

Hello rockyryan,

Thank you very much for backing Still Waters, and hope you enjoyed reading it, if that's the right word. If there is anything I can do in return, please let me know.

Again, a big thank you.

Hi there – this is where we introduce ourselves and things start to get interesting.

I'm fairly new to the site, and so far I've found it to be an extremely constructive and rewarding experience, though it does pay to have a thick skin sometimes.

Backing books, making friends – that seems to be the way to raise the profile, so here I am - just trying to be a bit neighbourly, a bit friendly really.

Hope you’ll feel the same.

All the best, have a great week - Cas
