If you already have, please forgive this note
And thank you for reading the words that we wrote.
But if you have not, then please read more
It might make you happier than you were before.

If you feel so inclined please take a look.
Go to our page and read our book.
If you do, you may start to care
When you reach the end you’ll yell, “Not Fair!”

“You left me hanging, I want to know more!”
So help us get to number four.
Leave a comment, maybe rate,
We’ll call you awesome, outstanding, and great.

If you’ll read ours, then we’ll read yours,
As authors we just can’t close any doors.
And if you’d back us, that would be fine,
(Might even boost us to number nine!)

To have our book published is our goal
And if you help us with heart and soul
Forever grateful we would be
(And we’ll help you to get to number three!)

Thanks so much for all you do
We will try to help you too
We wish you well, please be quite hearty
Maybe we’ll meet at the launching party!

Dear Bryce,

My apologies for this unsolicited message.

It’s an earnest invitation to explore my debut novel, SHINING DAWN.
A multifaceted work of science fiction that's so far been read and liked by a wide selection of readers, it is presently ranked among the top 10.

Should you find it deserving, then a few days on your bookshelf may be all the help that it needs to hold on to it’s current position. I’ll be happy to return the read and offer my feedback.

I’m sorry if you’re inconvenienced by this message.
But, I believe that this site has been designed to help budding writers who sadly have little other means of getting their work appraised.

Sincere regards,
AGC

Hullo there. I'm still a reader on this site scouting for new authors to promote on my webbie, but I've uploaded a manuscript now as well. If you decide not to back it can you also take a look at the other books on my shelf? Many excellent writers here!

Hey, sorry if I've told you the one about the Lunatic before - check it out if I haven't, but there's a Romance going on too now!

:/

I’m very sorry if I’ve previously messaged you, but I’ve had one of those glitches that wipes out backers and watchlists. I lost nearly 60 backers and over 100 watchlists and can’t find most of my old backers as they backed me over 2 months ago and the RSS feeds don’t go back that far..

If I was on your watchlist or if you backed me before I would greatly appreciate your support again for - The Lunatic Sings - or if you’d take a look at it if it’s new to you.

THE LUNATIC SINGS

- "like a William S. Burroughs novel with a point"

- "Deftly imitating waves of consciousness"

- "the reader glides through … It’s like dancing in someone’s mind"

- "You should be a playwright as this should be spoken"

- "like a meditation" – “A breathtaking concept”

- “… glorious driving rhythms of the syntax. It's prose that has an inner music that almost compels us to speak it aloud.”

- “Out of the mouth of this one comes reflections of both humanity and sanity.”

If you’ve considered Lunatic before I’ve put up a very different book recently too, a Romance, so rather than spam you for a read for that in the future, and maybe as an antidote if I’ve messaged you before for Lunatic, you might like to take a look at ‘The Book of Esther’.

THE BOOK OF ESTHER

- “I found this mesmerizing”

- “I love the way your words allow us to connect with your emotions, the way they compel us to reminisce about our own experiences, and the way they capture both happiness and sadness so perfectly.”

- “I can tell you already that I love it. …the lover and the beloved. Your story reminds me of how beautiful and yet painful both of those roles can be.”

Thank you,

John

Hello again Bryce,

I hope you're getting everthing you wanted from the site. We're all trying :)

The honest facts...like most writers, we all strive to become better at the craft. The goal in this situation is for us to move toward the desk and get that prized review. I’m tossing this out there, but I think you’ll enjoy A Killer’s Kind, if not for the story, then for the style of writing. I’m hoping you’ll come over and have a look. The book is sitting at 13; keeping there is a challenge. If, you have a look, and it’s something you enjoy (either for the story or for the writing), could you please back me and help me get to the desk.

Your support will always be appreciated and I will do everything (I can) to help you or any of the books that you like get there.

Cheers,
Dwayne

Dear Bryce,

Do you fancy a read of something a bit different? If so please try my Harpist of Madrid (now at 5 in the ratings). It’s an historical mix of love, music, scandal and intrigue! There is no other book about a composer who is a spy and a member of the Inquisition. Hope you support the thing.

Best wishes, Gordon.

PS Sorry if you’ve had this before!

Hello Mr. Docherty:

“An Unfinished Innocence” explores adulterous alcoholic substance-abusing schizophrenic author/academic/columnist and inadvertent serial killer, Brendan Dogge, and his search for redemption with the help of a small boy and a three-legged dog. A typical love story.

title: An Unfinished Innocence
Author: j.l. wood-miller

You just might laugh!

Take care,
-j.l. wood-miller

Dear Bryce,
Most of us here want to reach the desk, we all want “the review”. You can just about taste it and then, you start slipping down the ranks.
I have friends who are close to the desk, and I will support them until they reach it. I’ll do the same for everyone, If you’re just about there, my shelf is yours.
Would you help me by supporting Dark of the Moon?
Thank you so much and God bless.
Maria

Hello. Would you consider looking at and backing my little book " Come What May" ? It is a quick read but it stays with you... or so I've been told. :o)

Dear Bryce, Welcome to authonomy!

I’m sure you get many people pestering you for support but this is a special request! My historical novel is unique. It brims with strong characters, is an exciting story and gets you straight in to the action. I’d be delighted if you can give it a bit of a read and even more pleased if you backed it! Good luck and all the best, Gordon (The Harpist of Madrid)

Welcome to Authonomy. Being a fairly old hand here (over a year), I'm just waving hello and not soliciting anything from you. I'm sending you this message because you've put a book here, not merely signed on to read.

I've been teaching college English for 43 years and am getting ready to retire so I can write full time. If I don't know the answer to a writing question, I usually know where you can find it.

Any new online environment has a learning curve. This one takes a while to get used to, but once you've familiarized yourself with some of its features you can get valuable feedback on your writing and make some good friends. To clarify things, in case you're confused at the moment, I suggest checking the Tips and the FAQ's. Other useful advice may be found in the On Writing and Troubleshooting forums. Also, if you are not an experienced writer, check out my general advice thread at http://www.authonomy.com/forums/threads/43392/elementary-concerns-a-b-c-for-younger-authors/ (paste into your browser).

In a sense, we are competitors and teammates at the same time, like co-workers seeking promotions but wishing each other well. This competitive-cooperative relationship is a little paradoxical! Reactions here will vary from gushing praise to harsh criticism. The criticism is more useful than the praise, so it's more useful to be thick skinned and receptive than overly sensitive.

Editing/revising books is the main task here. We consider each other's suggestions and try to make our own books as publishable as possible.

Like some other web sites, Authonomy can be both a lot of fun and DANGEROUSLY addictive!

Hi Bryce, welcome to the site. We're a couple of charismatic souls with a fresh new story called The New Age Of Magic.
It’s a fast paced adventure story, driven by compelling characters and a dark premise. I know you must get a plethora of people hassling you to look over their stories but we would greatly appreciate your feedback and would love ur support if u deem us worthy.

Hello Bryce and welcome to authonomy. I love when new books come along and I look forward to getting yours on my shelf. I cleared space for it ... but now I get an error message whenever I try to add. No-one's perfect and this site is run by a publisher, not a group of geeks! ;)

All the best of luck.

Bryce,

Hi. I was wondering if you could take a look at my book The Ark of Humanity, and consider putting me in your watchlist or on your shelf. I'll do the same for you. Here's the pitch,

God flooded the earth to annihilate humanity's sins. What if that sinful race didn't die when floodwaters covered them but instead adapted to breathe water?

Let me know what you think. Have a wonderful day!

- Scott, The Ark of Humanity
