Could I interest you in taking a look at my novel, Charlie Parker's Corner Of The Prairie? It's a slice of life view of Kansas at the turn of the century complete with tornadoes, horse races and frontier romance. Life and death was cheap, and prejudices could ruin families struggling to eke out a living on an unforgiving prairie.

Any reads will be returned.

That is very kind of you and I never expected that to happen. I mean it would most certainly be a turn up for the books if I ever got onto the editors desk at HP. ;) AND you are so right about the need of support and help from others, without whom nothing is achievable - if you would like to listen to Sven Radio the link is on my "About Me" page - just click and enjoy - Thank you - Mick

Dear GK,

Many thanks for your continuing support for Doghouse Blues. The satire should have reached the top 5 in April, but its progress has been sabotaged by a group from the zealous thought police who award the novel 1 star and encourage others to do the same. Hence it has slipped down the chart twice, and probably will in June as well.

I have gone back to CBGB was my High School many times. You really have captured the zeitgeist of NY in the mid to late seventies new wave era. This is one of the very few books on Authonomy I can relate to. Brings back a lot of memories of seeing Patti Smith at the Roundhouse in ‘75 and the Shepherds Bush Empire in 2012, Television and Blondie at the Rainbow in ‘77, Television at the Town & Country 2 in 1993, Talking Heads at Hammersmith Palais in ‘78 Lou Reed at the Bottom Line, NY in 1982, and the Hammersmith Odeon in 1992, John Cale at Fairfield Halls in 1975, and the VU at Wembley Arena in 1993.

Hope your novel is doing well via YouTube.

Kind regards,

Clive

Hey GK, always a pleasure to hear from you. I'll check out the new poem soon. Good luck with all your ventures. I absolutely love Big Sur - such an insight into Jack's troubled later life. And the CBGB film - wow! What a cast of characters - can't wait!

So I flip open my laptop, log into authonomy and suddenly wonder, 'what's GK been up to lately?' - a little creepy but true! Then I discover all your amazing Beatdom articles and lose an hour or two reading and posting comments! Love the poetry and of course, everything Beat. Great to see you getting exposure -especially on hip websites. Congrats, GK, keep it coming.

Hi GK congratulations on becoming a high rating talent spotter, I am not sure how this thing works, I climbed to 700 but have slipped to my current rating. I am pleased however, that my book Tide and Time: At The Rock, has climbed up to the top 10. I wondered if you would consider checking it out if you have not seen it yet or supporting it if you reviewed it before, and are happy to support me with the final push. It's USP is that its fact, fiction and really useful guidance that can help challenging young people. I have had a lot of help from this site and hope a good review can help me to find somewhere I can publish it, so it can begin to help others. Thanks for your time, good luck with any work you have posted. :-)
Kindest Regards
Lenny Banks

Thank you so much. For both the encouraging comment and the backing. I'm humbled that you would swap a favourite book to support me for a while, again, thank you. x

Hi there, I'm desperately trying to drum up some support for my book, Canterbury Warriors. I've got a terrible case of 'block' at the moment and need an incentive to continue. I've made a vow that if I move up 20 places, I will finish writing the book within a month, but to do that I need some stars and shelves. I completely understand if you don't have the time to have a read, and thank you for your time, love Jue. x

Hi,
Read your review of a British military based book - a theme that your husband likes you say? Perhaps he might like my book Reluctant in Uniform which is fiction humour and uniform recently published on Amazon and the rest under my pen name C J Harcourt.
Best of luck with your writing.
