My name is Peter Reich, special investigator to the Pope and former captain of the Swiss Guard.

I need your help.

A few months ago, I was approached by a young Spanish woman who claimed to have evidence of a U.S.-led plot to assassinate the Pope and take control of the Vatican.

My son is dead. My wife is missing. And my only friend has turned against me.

I am alone and in hiding.

I do not trust anyone, perhaps I can trust you.

This is my story.

(If not, that's OK, but please do consider supporting one or all of the excellent books on my shelf here!)

Kind regards to you, and best wishes--

Since you have space on your shelf, I would like to invite you to consider my novel called Solian Chronicles: Pluto Genesis. It is a positive Science Fiction novel of the near future that has gotten some very good reviews. If you could rate and back, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration and I hope you have a good day.

Dear Anastacia: It pains me terribly to have to bother others, but I seem to be facing the battle of my life. I suspect I'm being continually attacked because the workbook I've written to help young adults has a Christian theme behind it.

Every time my book even gets in line for the desk, it gets attacked with one stars and a proliferation of abuse messages.

I'm at the rank number 9 right now (after being knocked down from approaching the desk in October). Until this point, I've not requested read swaps, but I promise to read your book if you would be willing to give a look at my workbook and, please, if you feel you can, support it through this month and next as I try, once again, to remain on the desk long enough for an editor to review it.

Thank you so much for any help you might give.
Sincerely, Patricia Laster

Howdy,
I'd be honored to be spotted by a top talent spotter, and to have our unique study book on your bookshelf. Select a sample topic from each chapter and see if it might hold any surprises for you. Thanks, Peter B. Nagy

While updating a couple chapters in my novel, I seem to have clicked on something I shouldn't have because I lost all my backers in the process. It's very concerning, as I was in the top 80s and had over 70 backers. I now fear Albert: A Gray Matter will slip into the recesses of nothingness, never to return again.

Can you find it in your heart to help me out? At least take a peak?

Hi Anastacia,
I’ve just posted my new book Stop the Insanity. It is a manifesto for those of us who are fed up with our dysfunctional Congress and would like to do something about it. I’ve put down my ideas on how we can cause a change along with descriptions of some of the things I believe need to be changed.

I would really like to hear what you think about my ideas. No problem if you disagree but please let me know why and what you would do instead.

Of course many Authonomy members are not American and/or don’t care about American politics. For you I have put in two bonus sections, written summaries of two very expensive seminars I attended to learn more about marketing and selling books, particularly for those who self publish. I think these two sections, chapters 11 and 12, will be of interest to all.

I am looking forward to hearing what you think.

Sincerely,

David Welch/dloganw

Hello Anastacia.
I’m hoping that you would permit me to call this a fraternal request. My book, THE EVOLUTION OF ETERNITY, is one of the only four books with a Christian tag (like yours) among the top 40 on this site. With the greater competition at the higher regions of the chart, I would greatly appreciate it if you could help its progress by taking a look and backing it. Rating it and leaving a comment would also be very favorable. As someone commented, “I've never read a book like this before, but it's very fascinating!” Here is the link to the book: http://www.authonomy.com/books/41044/the-evolution-of-eternity/. I EARNESTLY hope for your support. Thank you, and blessings always.
Sincerely,
David.

Hey Anastacia,

Was peeking at the weekly ratings of Christian books and found your book. This is not a solicitation to swap reads, however.

What it is is an invitation to join the Christian Lit Forum located at
http://authonomy.com/forums/threads/90961/christian-lit-forum/

It has been going on for a few months now. We take a book from a list, read it and comment on it to help fellow christian authors better their books. This also helps improve ratings and rankings when the book is well done.

Just wanted to pass on the invitation that I received myself from the forum's moderator, (if you can call her that) Dianna.

Yours in Christ,
Harold

I am Jack's failure to follow his own 6th commandment.

1: Thou shalt not take this place too seriously.
2: Thou shalt not place ones book on one’s own shelf.
3: Thou shall offer honest critique and not false praise.
4: Thou shalt not use the star rating system to punish enemies.
5: Thou shalt not create fake accounts for the purposes of insulting your fellow authors, backing your book, or talking to yourself.
6: Thou shalt not spam your fellow authors, or ask for backings and reads if thou are unwilling to read their book first.
7: Thou shall use this site to network and improve their craft
8: Thou shall not spend more time here then you spend writing.
9: Thou will try and read, Miami. http://www.authonomy.com/books/34153/miami/
10: Thou shall not take this place too seriously.

Well technically, I am willing to swap reads, so perhaps I am in the clear. Yet, make no mistake, this is me spamming you in hopes that you will consider backing my novel.

I thank you for your consideration.

Jack

Welcome to Authonomy! You’ve probably already noticed that you’re receiving requests from authors who want you to read their book right away. It’s important to promote your work, and that’s one way to do it.

Another way is to visit the forums and participate in the conversations you see there. Many older and wiser members post in the forums, so it’s a great place to learn.

You could also find a critique group and join it. Then you’ll be part of a group that’s agreed to read one another’s works. Click on the “Forum” link and then choose the Book Genre Message Boards. Find your genre, and see if there’s a crit group.

You can also post a thread about your book on the “Shameless Plugs” board. Post a message to tell us about yourself.

The most helpful thread on the entire forum is just for newbies. You can visit it at http://www.authonomy.com/forums/threads/74122/the-newbie-thread-/ Another thread you might want to visit covers publishing basics: http://www.authonomy.com/forums/threads/88992/real-help-for-serious-writers/.

Some acronyms you’ll run across here: SP is your short pitch. LP is your long pitch. MC is main character, MS is manuscript.

Tips: if you hover your icon over the little arrow by your rank, you’ll see yesterday’s rank. When you receive a comment, don’t hit “reply,” instead choose “send message” to thank the reviewer. When you use the “reply” here the reviewer doesn’t see it, and it artificially inflates your number of comments.

I am glad I found Authonomy and posted my book here. I’ve received helpful feedback that I’ve used to improve my manuscript. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Hi
I was just wondering if you could check out my book Iniko's Children: Pandora's Box. I'm looking for feedback and of course backing (only if you like it).

Dear President Garmon,
I hate to inform you that the last Oracle,..... has died.

In a modern world where mortals don’t believe in magic. A war in the wizard community has ended and with it, the last known Oracle has died by the hand of The Being who vanished. After the war, a prophecy was made about the next generation of Oracles who will defeat The Being when he comes back to power. The only problem is the next generation of Oracles doesn’t know they exist.
