Ruth,
You might want to click on www.scribd.com/dloganw whereby David Welch interviews me regarding the North Korean situation in "Nuts in the North." This could be a good venue for your book to get Twitter exposure.

This is my first book, the death of my son gave me the strength to start writing it. It is all real, but sometimes, it reads as a fiction. Incredible stories. Please take the time to check it out and give me very needed feedback and a little help to get noticed by the publishers. Thank you

Hey there, Ruth. My investigative piece ‘THE CASE OF THE DROWNING MEN: Investigating the Smiley Face Serial Murder Theory’ will be featured this month in Crime Magazine, a leading resource for followers of true crime. I’ve also previewed it on Authonomy this week. You up for solving some murders…?

(And if you hate the book, then please consider backing the other truly excellent ones on my shelf—tons of talented writers on this site who could really use some extra support!)

Kind regards to you, and best wishes—
E.R.

Hi Ruth,
I hope you are keeping well.
I have been away from the site updating my book over the last few weeks "Away With The Mountains". Indeed I have just re-uploaded the book and have somehow managed to lose all its watchlists and book shelf spaces, doh!
I know you looked at it a little while back but I am hoping you might find the time to check it out again, put it on your watchlist or perhaps even give it some shelf time.
Many thanks
Maya.

Hi Ruth,
I am writing to ask you to consider adding my exciting romantic suspense novel SECRETS WE KEEP to your bookshelf. Many apologies for the dreaded *spam*, but this book has been stuck in the 20s doldrums for many months now as I watched others slide past, so I decided to go for it. If it's not your kind of read, no problem. All I ask is that you take a look and if it appeals to you, back it for a while. It has been revised several times thanks to very helpful comments from people on this site like you! People have said it is polished, well written, fast moving, fun and entertaining. I will gladly return the read and wish all the best for your book too.

Dear Ruth,

I would like to invite you to take a look at my novel, Transcendence—a fast-paced, metaphysical adventure with science fiction overtones.

What if Science revealed the explicit nature of God? In ‘Transcendence’, a team of physicists breaks the confines of the ego with harrowing consequences.

Previous Editor’s Desk winner, A G Chaudhuri, wrote, “He (Jeff Herman) has mastered the finer nuances of creative writing and is consequently able to tell his story in a simple and lucid manner that’s both very easy to read and mighty difficult to put down. He is also a very intelligent writer of science fiction who has endeavored to touch upon a really complex issue; the collective holy grail of diverse subjects like quantum physics, philosophy, eastern mysticism and the emerging Noetic sciences…‘Transcendence’ was a rare treat.”

If the story interests you, please read as much as maintains that interest. I appreciate all comments and, if deserving, value your backing. I will also commit to devote time to all writers who invest their valuable time in me.

Regards,

Jeff Herman

Does this pique your interest?

“You can’t be serious, Miss?”
The man shook his head while staring at the young girl seated behind the large, sturdy desk. Philippe Gaylord’s desk, her father’s desk, but that man was now dead. Died of heart failure the doctor said. But others, the ones who knew him best, believed he died of a long broken heart. The loss of his beloved wife trying to birth a son had been a devastating loss, one from which he never really recovered.
His daughter Ariana’s stubborn rejection of the offer to buy made no sense to the foreman. Why would the young girl prefer to run the place all alone? Unheard of behavior for an unwed female, he tried, to no avail, to make her see reason since the offer first arrived shortly after her father’s death.
“Very serious,” Ariana reiterated no doubt in her voice. “Why is this a problem?

Undergoing major rewrite; would love feedback. Also trying to move up the list and really could use some help. Please give it a star rank, back it or, at the least, put on your watch-list. Making the ED is not the ultimate goal, but the new announcement by HC to try and e-publish posted works closer to the ED is a great incentive. Any/all help would be appreciated. Will consider return read/comment if time permits.

Thanks for your time and help,
Chrysta Mane

Ruth,

'The story sweeps us along, until we cannot any longer put it down. Truly excellent.' Barbara Gaskell Denvil 'Satin Cinnabar'

'Beautifully written, heartbreaking, yet funny. The language and flow is perfection.' Elspeth McGregor 'Paragon'

'A gem'. Andrew Stevens 'The Poet'

I always return a read.

Zuffles wrote 339 days ago

Hi there – sorry to bother but I am seriously seeking some advice.

I have been on the site for a few days now and have re-written the first couple of chapters of my book according to the tons of advice received so far…My name is Craig Zerf and I currently have 2 books with my agent, Ian Drury of Sheil Land agencies. The first novel that Ian accepted was not taken up by any publishers despite having been very favourably reviewed by 2 best selling authors; Michael Marshall (The Straw Men, The Intruders, The Lonely Dead) who said that it was one of the best books that he had read in recent years, and Meg Rosoff (How I Live Now, Just In Case) who said "I think that you are a fantastic writer. The story is tragic and blood-curdling and extraordinary."

It’s very frustrating so I have opted to put it out here and try my hardest to get some unbiased advice. I would really appreciate it if you could take a look at my script (or even just the first chapter or so) and tell me what you think. Thanks ever so much – Craig (Zuffles).
THE BROKEN MEN - The best of boyhood friends, Leon and Pete, grow up in South Africa during the hatred and turmoil of the Apartheid era. Like every other white male between the ages of sixteen and sixty-five they are conscripted into the army in order to fight for the continuance of the white regime.
In this maelstrom of Apartheid and war the two friends become the most deadly of enemies. Together they are drawn into a path of death, violence and brutality that spans the oceans from Southern Africa to the United Kingdom

Ruth, I have supported your book for a while, but I will take it down for a bit as there are a few other books I wish to support. I will support it later again though. Mx

Thanks
I am sending this to all those that have commented, rate and back my book title ‘Animals In Paradise’. I did not believe that I would ever get such honor. I am a young boy who is dreaming to become a great Author. I am from Nigeria, and I did not know that English People would be interested in my writing at this age. Though, I knew that I have the artistry of writing and believe that I would go far, but your support really helped me out. Thanks you so much. You really improved my writing here. You thought me a lot of things through your comments. I had made a lot of grammatical blunders and I did not take note of it until I got here and I see that I need to work on my book. Now, I see that writing is a sacrifice, a big sacrifice that one needs to sharp his passion for. Thank you so much.
Now, I want to inform you about the book that I have re-write and edited it properly by myself. Now, you would enjoy it. You would not stress yourself to understand any phrase or word anymore. The reading goes smoothly. I have broken down some English and eradicated some obsolete English that are not available for the readers of today.
Please, I want you to check ‘Animals In Paradise’. I would be glad if you can read chapter one only because of some other books you need to read. You would enjoy the chapter one now. Please I would be glad if you could give me a comment on it, rate it as some of you had promised that you would rate it, rate it many stars and back it if I do it well. Please read the first chapter only if you are too busy. Please remember that I am humble young writer who is dreaming to be a Novelist, and you can help me to achieve that here if you can give me many stars, back it and comment on it, recommend it to friends here on Autonomy if you like it. Know that my book is Literature, not a modern book or entertainment book, but a novel I wish to be read by students in schools or institutions.
I am sorry if I have not read your book, comment on it, back it

Ruth,
I've put 'To dream again' on my watchlist and hope to get to it in the near future. I loved Philippa Gregroy's Tradescant novels. If 'To dream again' is half as good (ok different period!) it should be a cracking read.

If you get a chance to look at my book I'd appreciate any feedback. IT's straight lit fic. I've been on Authonomy now for ages but haven't really committed to trying to get my book noticed. 'Nothing you can do' is about a young man who, in seeking help for his troubles, finds that he unwittingly ends up helping his therapist sort out her own damaged life.
If you think the writing is strong enough I'm desperate to get the book moving in the right direction. Any feedback welcome.
Best wishes.

Hi Ruth,
This may not be your favorite genre, but if you could take a look at my first book and tell me what you think of it, it would be great. It's called “The Forest of Vulcanus” - and it's my account as a UN peacekeeper in the Congolese war zone. I’m trying to make it an entertaining reading. Link is as below.
Best regards,
Ruko
