Thank you so much for your comment...I have much to do to fill it out yet, but it was so sweet of you to read Mighty Fine.

Hi Shaina
I've made it to no 20 and I'm looking for some support to take me nearer the coveted ED. If you would like to support Mary's Magic Muffins & Other Tales for Children for a while I'd be extremely grateful. I return all reads with an honest feedback, as I think it is better to be honest. If you'd like to read swap let me know. I will be on authonomy here for a long time and will support those who have helped me. Thank you for taking the time to read this message. Hope to hear from you soon.
Brian.

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for the comments on Hello World :)

Hi Shaina
Would you like to do a book read/comment swap?
I like to read all sorts of books. I try and leave honest comments and am prepared for the same.
My book, "The Secret of Netley Abbey", is an easy to read children's book where three children, pursued by treasure seekers, search for the secret of a 13th century ruin. There are ghostly goings-on and a government cover-up of alien artefacts.
Regards
Charles

Dear CoCinstrumental

Thank you for your message. I have read and enjoyed the first two chapters. Unfortunately, when I tried to read chapter 3 the system jammed and I was unable to pull it up. I will try again later. I am putting you on my watch list and will have another look tomorrow.

I would be interested in receiving the links to your other books. Did you self-publish? Was it difficult?

I have a daughter with aspergers. My novel Highway Code was written when my daughter dropped out of school because she could no longer cope, and we were effectively housebound together for seven months. We have had many answers to prayer and she is now happy in a new school.

My book is about a neurotypical man falling in love with an aspergers woman. I wanted to show all the positive things about people with autism - their truthfulness, sense of justice, intelligence and creativity. In many ways, my daughter puts me to shame. She can see through all my hypocrisy and my need for others' approval, and I have learned much more from her than she has from me!

Keep writing. You are very good.

Kathryn

Ok Shaina, I've recorded your review. But please follow the procedure:

Review the book on the Schedule at the top of page 1. You can also review other books, but do the schedule one first.

Put "CLF" at the top of the review - so the rest of us can see it.

Thanks,

Keiran

“The novelist with Christian concerns will find in modern life distortions which are repugnant to him, and his problem will be to make these appear as distortions to an audience which is used to seeing them as natural; and he may well be forced to take ever more violent means to get his vision across to this hostile audience. When you can assume that your audience holds the same beliefs you do, you can relax a little and use more normal ways of talking to it; when you have to assume that it does not, then you have to make your vision apparent by shock -- to the hard of hearing you shout, and for the almost blind you draw large and startling figures.”
Flannery O'Connor

I haven't been (threw) a whole lot myself, but I have held the hand of those in the aftermath. It sucks. Not being able to take it away. (In human terms.) Our turmoil and anguish and horror and tumultuous lament; in this life; is the storehouse of God's wrath. When our Lord says, "Vengeance is Mine." It is a pure vengeance; righteous and unyielding. We will be on the good side of that, in silence and awe.
James 3
Maybe I should have held my tongue and preferred gentleness. And, if you were not a Christian, I probably would have.

I see two generations moving forward, in this world. I see a third; dissipating. The first two are, Detached and Self-absorbed. The other was Self-sustaining.

It’s a dark world we are coming into Brother.
I dare you to hold someone’s hand.
Please forgive me for my offense.

Teb.

Hi Shaina and welcome,

I've added you to CLF2. We have only a few members so far, but the way to move up the schedule is to give reviews of other CLF books. As we are starting afresh, I've put you down as 0 reviews given and received.

I suggest putting a post on CLF2 announcing yourself. Just a few brief words saying who you are and why your book is Christian. If people want to know more, they can look at your profile.
Also it is better to give CLF members at least your real first name.

Sorry for the silence - happy new year (a bit late but never mind). I have just seen your comment - yes I love Narnia, one of my favourite books ever. I have a special edition of the series which is beautiful and one day I will read it!

A lot is happening with the Wishing Tree at the moment - I'll provide more info as soon as I can.

By the way, when I come back to Authonomy shortly I will back your book! :) Apologies for not doing so before!

Love

Hi Shaina,

I hope you are doing well. Thank you so much for your wonderful support. I truly appreciate all you've done to help me!

Since Now To Him has been selected for review, it is no longer necessary to keep my book on your shelf. I was wondering if you might consider replacing it with another book that is trying to stay in the top 5 this month? I am supporting two fabulous authors (currently #4 and #5) on the ED. If you have shelf space available, perhaps you might consider supporting their work at this crucial time.

You can find the books on my current bookshelf. They are 'Forgiveness Fits' by Audrey Bennett and 'Old Number Seven' by John Breeden. I think you will find both books to be very well written with wonderful messages.

Thanks so much for everything!

Have a wonderful day,
~Faith

Shaina,

Thank you for reading and reviewing Fugitives. It's a dark futuristic world - but there's a light at the end of the tunnel, eventually. I appreciate your comments on it.

Happy New Year,

Hello Shaina,

I sent the below message recently. Just wondered if you were in a position to respond yet? Happy to reciprocate.

Hope you are well. Maybe you would like to try out my new satire, Doghouse Blues. Here is an endorsement:

I was attracted to Doghouse Blues from the pitch alone because it was so very different. There are so many budding writers out there who want to earn the same sort of money as J K Rowling by writing exactly the same kind of book and , to be frank, I am getting a bit tired of it.
This, on the other hand, struck me as being an original piece of work. The product of a lively mind and written by someone who is an excellent observer of the real world out there and who knows how to translate his observations into print. Just the right amount of dialogue, which carries the story along well.
I have not read the complete book (yet) but have dipped into it fairly freely to see if the momentum is maintained. It certainly is.
Philip John

Looking forward to reading your comments on the Doghouse Blues webpage.

All the best,

Clive

Hi Shaina,
I was wondering if you could read a chapter or two from my book and send me a comment. I'm a frequent reviewer on the site, and will return the read in a timely manner. You have a great pitch, by the way.

You also have a gold-medal winner in your shelf, who doesn't need any further support.

If you enjoy reading my book, and want to support me to the ED, your backing will be highly appreciated.

Best wishes,
Lucette- Ten Deep Footprints

Shaina,

I notice you have lots of space on your bookshelf, and, right now, I could use some help.

HELL'S SUPER is at number 5, hanging on by its teeth to stay in that revered company for the next month. I'd love to have the opportunity to gain your support. If you read and back HELL'S SUPER, the chances are good you'll get your shelf space back in a few weeks.

My book has been embraced by the authonomy community, with adjectives like " highly original," "extremely funny," "intelligent," and "well-written" being consistent comments. It's been compared favorably to the writings of Doug Adams and Terry Pratchett and even the Screwtape Letters. A number of ED medalists, like Zane, Maeve, Bill Holt, Jack Cerro, Diana Henderson, and Fran Macilvey, are current supporters.

Back HELL'S SUPER and become a member of the "I Love BOOH Fan Club." As American Express says, membership has its privileges. I just can't figure out what they are yet!

And, of course, in return I'll be glad to take a look at your book. I'm a former editor, so I usually have a useful comment or two.

Thanks for considering this.

Mark
