I am done! My book has been edited! Read it, find yourself in my situation, compare your reaction to mine and judge if you must!

What do you do when life is too intense? When bad and good things happen without giving you a break?
When you say to yourself, ok, this is it, now I should be able to have a "normal life".... but you get hit again, and harder. There will be part two of this book, because "It can't always rain..."

Hi there..

I am an independent literary agent, and I’ve been contracted by my client, DIP Press, to target a handful of potential Authors for possible publishing.

This is not self publishing; there are no fees of any sort, at any point, required from you, or anyone. We would love to have you submit your manuscript. Submissions are currently being accepted for a limited number of slots, so act now if you’re interested.

The website is www.dip-press.com. Scroll to the bottom of the homepage and click on Manuscript Submissions. The rest is simple.

Hi there
Please forgive me for pestering you again. Only there are two things I need to tell you.
First, I’ve added another story to my mini-series (Time Machine Takeaway).
Secondly, doing this, I’ve accidently erased my watch list and my book shelf, which is a real shame.
I didn’t know that if you go under 10,000 words, you information (book shelf/watch list) will be erased. : (
If you were a backer, could you find it in your heart to put me back on the shelf, or watch list, whichever the case may be?
Thank you
Regards
David

Hello Sethj,

Hope you are well. Maybe you would like to try out my new satire, Doghouse Blues. Here is an endorsement:

I was attracted to Doghouse Blues from the pitch alone because it was so very different. There are so many budding writers out there who want to earn the same sort of money as J K Rowling by writing exactly the same kind of book and, to be frank, I am getting a bit tired of it.
This, on the other hand, struck me as being an original piece of work. The product of a lively mind and written by someone who is an excellent observer of the real world out there and who knows how to translate his observations into print. Just the right amount of dialogue, which carries the story along well.
I have not read the complete book (yet) but have dipped into it fairly freely to see if the momentum is maintained. It certainly is.
Philip John

Looking forward to reading your comments on the Doghouse Blues webpage.

All the best,

Clive

Hi Seth.
Okay this is kind of spam, but I'm only sending it out to my friends and not everyone.
In October I'm doing a complete rewrite of my book. At present it is called 'Up The Hill Backwards' but that will change too.

I am asking you nicely if you'd take a look at it and leave constructive comments to help me with the rewrite. I will read and comment on your book in return. Any backers picked up along the way will also be reciprocated.

It has taken me over four years to write this story and a lot of people shy away from it. I'm a tough cookie though and can take it on the chin, so please be honest. It won't affect how I judge your story.

You can see from my story how hard it was to write. The rewrite is going to be just as traumatic but I have to do it.

I'm sorry for the invasion and thanks for your time.

Best wishes Jesamine.

Hi Seth,
I was wondering whether you could read a chapter or two from Ten Deep Footprints, and send me some feedback?
If you can't, I won't mind, but your backing will be much appreciated.
Best wishes,

Seth,

As a professional writer your opinion on my sci-fi mystery Horizons would be of value to me. Please do consider reading:-

1) Karen Conner, Astronaut, framed for murder, but why?
2) Jack Summers, her younger ex-lover, still crazy about her. Only he can help her learn the truth.
3) A space mission that could change the world forever.

Above it all a battle of wits between a corrupt businessman and a brilliant scientist: first-contact is a dream, but there are those who would kill to prevent it...

If you enjoy Horizons, stars and bookshelf slots are always welcomed, but I'm interested in your thoughts, whatever they may be...

I'd be very happy to look at 'Gnosis 5' if you'd be interested in my opinions - I always try to give a constructive critique!

Warm regards,

Robert

Hi Seth

I read a couple of sections of "Gnosis". Your book looks intriguing and your writing is good. I notice you are a "professional writer" in a number of areas, and I applaud all your energy!

I'm a published author (with Penguin) as well as an editor. I've worked with a number of authors on this site and elsewhere, helping to make their manuscripts sparkle. Among those is Mary Vensel White, who is now published by HC. I've worked with a many different genres, and I'd love to work with you on your book.

I know the book is already self-published, but edits can still be made. An edited book might leave a better impression overall as well as a potential for increased readers of your future books. If you're curious about what I can do for your book, I invite you to email me a few pages and I'll send suggestions on one page (free). My email is mail@genevievegraham.com

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi there – it’s me again…

BLOODSTONES is so close to the Ed's desk I can taste it. I was briefly at number one, but we're all jostling for spaceup in the top five and I'm slipping away...aaargh!

If you could give me a couple of weeks on your shelf, I might just make it to the end of the month and that all important Harper Collins Editor’s read.

So if there’s some room for me on your stylish bookshelf, many thanks, all the best from me, your Authonomy friend, Cas.

I won’t forget you…

ps: I was involved in a 80s Dutch comic strip called Brian en de Brainbox with Jan van Haasteren. I'll send you some pages via your website sometime...a blast from the past!

Hi Seth,
Are you unhappy with the dysfunctional U.S. Congress and interested in doing something about it. I am and have written a book explaining how we can change things and also describing some of the things that need to be changed.

On August 15th I am posting my book, Stop the Insanity, on Authonomy. A large number of friends on Authonomy have agreed to support the book so I am quite confident it will move rapidly up the ED chart and anyone who backs it will receive a boost in their TSR rating.

Naturally I don’t expect people to back my book simply because it will help your TSR. Still I need your backing and am prepared to send you the first chapter in advance so you can take a look. Send your e-mail address to me at: david@teddybeareducation.com and I will send the first chapter in a word file so you can decide if you will help.

Or, if you don’t have time to take a look before next Wednesday please take a look after it is posted. Quite frankly my goal is to reach the ED so HC can take a look and hopefully publish the book which would be a big first step towards doing something about our dysfunctional Congress. So I would greatly appreciate your backing of the book even if is is just for a few weeks as it soars from 5,000 plus to under 300 on the ED rankings. And of course I want constructive comments on how to improve the writing so I can make my points even clearer. And if you disagree with some of the things I say please write and let me know what you disagree with and why. My plan is to self publish the book before year end so I need all the input I can get for helpful editing.

Sincerely,

David Welch/dloganw

Hi there,
I'm writing a novel about conspiracies, witchcrafts, werewolves, vampires, elves, dwarves, and dragons. It's not an ordinary fantasy novel, it's dark fantasy!
I'd like you to read, at least, the pitch and the first three paragraphs, please. But if you like, you can keep reading, and then rate the book and back it if you want to. :)
I'd be very grateful.
And I'm ready to read-swap!

Seth,

The subject matter of my book is one of the defining issues of our times, and yet society has only recently begun to come to terms with it. For this reason, my memoir also tends to polarize potential readers, so it is something of a miracle that I am now within shouting distance of the Desk.

"A gem" Andrew Stevens 'The Poet'
"Beautifully written, heartbreaking yet funny" Elspeth McGregor 'Paragon'.
