Hullo there. My manuscript's landed on the Ed's Desk this month and I was hoping you might find it worthy of your support now so it will hold its position in the top 5 . If not, can you please take a look at the other authors on my bookshelf and those I'm promoting on my website? Many, many talented writers here!

CHEERS to you and best wishes--
E.R.

Dear Travis,

Egoism is ONLY natural as my people say, “A big earthworm one wishes it to one’s own chicken!” However if alone you read through the prologue of “Destined to Triumph”, it is seen that there is supernatural hand in the making of the book. Believers would say, “God inspired”.

"Destined to Triumph" - it is a story of an African child who has seen it all. His story poses a universal question about what is the return on investment in education in Uganda/Africa. With Africa remaining crawling technologically when the rest of the world is running, he suggests a new leadership paradigm shift that will enthrone universities/university leaders as the guardians of political and socio-economic accountability.

I Pray That You Respond Positively To This Call And Support The Book For It To Make It To Editors Table And Be Selected On 30/09/11, So That Sooner Than Later, The Book’s Deliverance Message Makes The Intended Impact Of Shaking Off Those Good For Nothing "Leaders" In Uganda And Great Africa. Fellow authonomists are calling too:

Members! I suggest taking a good look at this book . The author appears to be an up and coming leader of his country with some great ideas. In another ten years, whenever you read about Uganda, you may be reading about Julius as well most of the time. James Apologist [END]

… I was fascinated by this man, not much older than me, who chose to try to change his world, which by both his and every other account I’ve ever read, is probably one of the most corrupt and horrible places on Earth. …

I’m also fascinated that Babyetsiza chooses a non-violent path for this change and instead uses his intelligence and his writing skills…

I don’t know if Destined to Triumph can change the world, but this moving tale could make a big impact on Uganda, and I wish him well in that endeavor [END]

Hi Travis,
I hope you're having a good week..
It seems that spam approaches on here tend to be rather impersonal. And people's self assessments are pretty grandiose, to say the least.
An honest recommendation is as rare as hen's teeth.
Which is why I'll get to the point fast. My book, Parabolic, is quite fun. 50+ positive reviews, 4.5 stars, 148 in the chart and many hundreds of enthusiastic readers on Amazon make that a less arrogant statement than it could be.
There. That's it. If you like, you can see the write up here http://www.authonomy.com/books/35255/parabolic and if you like the look of it, take a sip at the prologue. If that tempts you, drink in the first chapter. After that, I'll leave it to you.
Many thanks for considering Parabolic and I look forward to seeing what you think. Add to your shelf & star it if you think it's got legs, too.
Cheers,
Harry

Hello Travis, Can you please find a place for "Ozoneraser" on your shelf? It is my uncle's first attempt at writing and has got quite a good response. I hope you will like it. I have added your book to my shelf and will ask my friends to do the same. Let me know.

Dear,
The book ‘Man Made Gods’ scientifically explains why, when, and how religions and gods were created. What kind of sufferings necessitated mankind to bow down before unseen powers—gods?
If you can spare a few moments to check out and back the book it would be much appreciated. I will reciprocate your backing anyway. This book is on the verge of reaching ED.

"Stolen Childhood" wrote 646 days ago

Hi Travis
I am wondering if you could be so kind to have a little look at my autobiography Stolen Childhood. Though it is quite a dark story and can be traumatic for some to read, it has a happy ending. This book might not be your type of read at all, but I do hope that you are able to consider “backing” my book, by giving it a few days on your shelf, that would give me tremendous support.
I perfectly understand if you are not able.
Yours sincerely
Laila

Hi.
I’ve thought about saying something nice like, how are you? I’m not here to ask you to read my book; I just want to welcome you to the site. But that would be a lie. I really do want you to read my book. If you have time please take a look. It’s starts with a birth, but so did we. I return reads if you’re interested. (Only fair, I did ask first).
Thanks for reading this message. The good thing about the internet is I can’t hear you cursing me under your breath.
Best wishes,
Janny

Welcome to Authonomy. Being a fairly old hand here (over a year), I'm just waving hello and not soliciting anything from you. I'm sending you this message because you've put a book here, not merely signed on to read.

I've been teaching English for 43 years and have at last retired so I can write full time. If I don't know the answer to a writing question, I usually know where you can find it.

Any new online environment has a learning curve. This one takes a while to get used to, but once you've familiarized yourself with some of its features you can get valuable feedback on your writing and make some good friends. To clarify things, in case you're confused at the moment, I suggest checking the Tips, the FAQ's. and an excellent forum thread for new members started by Marj McRea that you will find at http://www.authonomy.com/forums/threads/74122/the-newbie-thread-/ Other useful advice may be found in the On Writing and Troubleshooting forums. Also, if you are not an experienced writer, check out my general advice thread at http://www.authonomy.com/forums/threads/43392/elementary-concerns-a-b-c-for-younger-authors/ (paste into your browser).

In a sense, we are competitors and teammates at the same time, like co-workers seeking promotions but wishing each other well. This competitive-cooperative relationship is a little paradoxical! Reactions here will vary from gushing praise to harsh criticism. The criticism is often more useful than the praise, so it's wiser to be calm and receptive than overly sensitive about your "baby" being attacked.

Thin-skinned writers who rush to defend their work tend to be ignored.

Editing/revising books is the main task here. We consider each other's suggestions and try to make our own books as publishable as possible.

Like some other web sites, Authonomy can be both a lot of fun and DANGEROUSLY addictive!

Mr. Grassroots wrote 651 days ago

Hi Travis and welcome to authonomy,

I would like to ask for your support for my book, Mr. and Mrs. Grassroots. It is the true story of the early years of President Barack Obama. I hope you enjoy it. Mr. Grassroots.

I am also asking you for support of my friend, Dr. Ajay Kansal who wrote "Man Made Gods: When, Why & How." Dr. Ajay's book is now number 7 and knocking on the door for an editor's read and deservedly so.

Thanks,
John Presta
