Could I interest you in taking a look at my novel, Charlie Parker's Corner Of The Prairie? It's a slice of life view of Kansas at the turn of the century complete with tornadoes, horse races and frontier romance. Life and death was cheap, and prejudices could ruin families struggling to eke out a living on an unforgiving prairie.

Any reads will be returned.

Hi Dadoo, So you like satire? Hate officialdom? Then you should really check out the first of my short stories. Maybe you'd consider a swap/read. All the best, Morven

Hello There. I wonder if you could do me a honest review of a few chapters of my new book based on a true story on this link. http://authonomy.com/books/53182/the-immigrant-stargazer/

Much appreciated. (If you need me to review any of your work I will glady do so)

Kind regards

Hi Robert

I hope you don’t mind a cheeky request, but I was hoping you would support our little children’s book, “The Secret of Netley Abbey”? Placing it on your bookshelf, watchlist or rating it would help us get to those elusive editors, currently we are at around 50 and moving in the right direction!

In return Charles or I would be happy to look at your book and provide honest comments if you so wish.

Charles and I intend to stay on Authonomy for the long term and we are currently writing other stories.

Your help will not be forgotten and we do keep our promises!

Best wishes

Yasmina

"The Secret of Netley Abbey", is an easy to read children's book where three children, pursued by treasure seekers, search for the secret of a 13th century ruin. There are ghostly goings-on and a government cover-up of alien artefacts. The book has been loaded under “Charles Knightley”.

So many authonomite facebook friends had a laugh at your cyber-bully poem! And without fail, they said you always made/make them laugh on here!

Hi Bob,
Thanks. Can I post this on my facebook, I will credit you OF COURSE.

Life is nice now. There is an occasional shake --but mostly I don't notice them. They warn us to expect a 5--that would be normal but that is not much more than what you might get simply because we live in the shaky isles!
How is life for you?

Hi Dadoo,
I just wanted to ask you if you could help me raise some money for various children's charities. I have written an ebook (Nasus Reklaw & the Never Ending Orange Grove) for children and all the proceeds will be donated to help children with cancer related illnesses and for those who need foster care. If you could find time to read my sample chapters and possibly review/bookshelf the book at you earliest convenience I would be truly grateful. The book is available on Amazon and if you like books like Narnia, Alice in Wonderland, or the Wizard of Oz, you may enjoy this book.If you would like to know more about the book and the charities involved please visit www.NasusReklaw.com

Best wishes
Ryan xx

Loved your poem, but didn't want to post on the never-ending thread. Well done! Hope it does the trick.

beegirl wrote 27 days ago

LOL..just peeked at the B&B thread. Honestly, Can you post your piece that on a thread all of its own so I can enjoy it without having to click on that other thread and throw it back up on the list!

lol thank you - I actually had to shut off the computer - I realized that just about everything that was coming out of my 'mouth' was nonsensical lol

I keep forgetting to tell you about a wonderful film i saw from your neck of the woods (well, when i say neck of the woods, i mean canada... That small country...), but i think it's the first canadian art house film i've seen and i was blown away. Called 'Small Town Murder Songs'. Have you seen it? No idea whether it'd be your thing, but i thought it wonderful. Now i'm wondering how many other canadian art house films there are i may be missing out on.

Dadoo! I forgot that was you I was backing! I come on here so rarely, and I only back the "goodies." No autho-politics for me anymore.

I'm going to try and find all that Frye information you sent me before. Thanks for the reminder! Books are going well - book #3 is out in November, and I'm working on (almost done, I hope) a WWI story about a Canadian (NS fisherman!). FIngers crossed on that one.

Robert,
You might want to click on www.scribd.com/dloganw whereby David Welch interviews me regarding the North Korean situation in "Nuts in the North." This could be a good venue for your book to get Twitter exposure.

Aw, thanks, Dad x
I had to look that up, never heard of it. Nah, never had none of that! One shot of morphine after the op, and that was enough to say never again. Paracetemol and Codeine or Ibuprofen does me nicely. I have a very high pain threshold LOL.

Hi,
Excuse the unsolicited message. Have you heard of CLOG? If so, don't let me take up any more of your time. If not, it's a comedy writer's reading group, a place to discover and review books of this genre while getting feedback on your own work from likeminded people. If this is something that might interest you please take a look at:
http://authonomy.com/forums/threads/110633/comedy-literature-only-group-clog-/
and, if you like what you see, you'd be very welcome to sign up. I've discovered some great stories through this group but we need as many members as we can get.
Thanks for reading, Alastair
