I love it! Bravo! Reads like a Jack Vance sci-fi excursion. You are obviously a devoted fan of the genre. Your histories are well-developed, as are your Races, and governments. This belongs on a shelf between my Ben Bova and Heinlein collections. P.S. Congrats on also being one of the first books I've ever read that mention both the Internet, and MMOG in one book!

Great pitch. I wonder if you need 'A Novella' in your title, but hey ...while it's a low key start, I feel that the (to me, unlikely premise of internet history & aliens) actually works well. Beware readers with warped senses of humour, like me, reading MMOG as OMG (OhMyGod). Backed.
