I found your critique most helpful. I am new to writing, with the exception of my dissertation and a few articles I have not written anything else. I am thinking of authors that are in my genre with a similar depth and how their style of writing is like, and yes, it is more enjoyable than mine I guess. I do like going deep and being descriptive, but the "bite-size" approach you mention is good for a wider audience. My work posted here has not been edited yet. I wanted to build and work on the book as I go along here. Thanks again, very much appreciated. Oh by the way, India is on my plans for travel. You have some thought provoking observations. However, I think you should be more conversational in your tone and add more color to your prose. I think the ideas in here are worth exploring and are worth reaching to a wider audience. And the wider audience prefers ideas in bit-sized pieces, with a splash of humor and entertainment, without long paragraphs and some dialogue.

In short, make this more fun and entertaining to read. You would get more ideas across and it would spark more people to think critically over their beliefs.

As an aside, I see more men holding hands with each other here in India than men holding hands with women. it is a strange inversion. The men aren't more gay for sure but if anything, they are militantly straight. It goes to show that expressions of masculinity isn't as monolithic as some would assert.
